“I feel like the biggest moment I had was when I played exceptionally well against Withrow’s defensive ends while playing tight end.”

What were you feeling as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Woodward football team?

“It was a very unreal moment for me. I was truly just taking it all in, thinking about everything I went through.”

Woodward struggled for most of your career. What made you continue to play?

“I feel like it was a change of goal for me. My original goal was to have a good season as far as wins, but I realized that the underclass men needed someone to teach them to never give up no matter how hard it gets. I wanted to be an example.”

What do you feel needs to change for Woodward to turn things around?

“Dedicated players who want to push for change, also a complete coaching staff who wants to build a long-term program and not temporary success.”

What was your biggest moment as a high school football player?

“Traveling for 7 on 7s and getting to play my dream position, center.”

What was the toughest part of being a high school football player?

“Keeping my grades up definitely was a struggle, also staying focused on the main goal.”

Who was the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

“Bryce Brewster For Taft, His motor is unmatched, and his IQ is off the charts; he’s going to be a stud for Bowling Green.”

What made you a good teammate?

 “My leadership & IQ.”

What do you feel was the strongest part of your game?

“Definitely my strength, the ability to have an efficient first punch.”

Why should a college coach recruit you?

“I feel like my work ethic will really make me stand out; I want it more than anyone.”

What are you going to miss the most from playing high school football?

“Summer workouts. I really enjoyed the grind with my brothers; it’s definitely unmatched.”

What was the biggest lesson that you learned from playing high school football?

 “Finish what you started!”

If you are invited to play in any of the statewide all-star games, will you?

“Definitely, it would be an honor to even lace up again.”

What is your go-to snack?

“Uncrustables”

What is your favorite class or subject?

 “History class.”

Who are your role models?

“My father, my mother, & Amarius Mims.”
