Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from a game, or something that sticks out from practice.

The Franklin Heights game! Last game of the season, and it’s senior night. We are playing a WESTSIDE of Columbus rivalry; some of those guys at Heights I'm friends with, and some I used to play with in little league. That game is bragging rights. I threw a touchdown with 2 minutes left to put us up 2 possessions. Watching the seniors go out that night was amazing.

What was the best part of last season?

The best part of last season was those long bus rides, like to Dalton, and getting to take the field with guys I've been playing with since elementary school and middle school. Individually I really had a good game vs. St. Charles, where I threw 4 touchdowns. That was really cool.

What was the toughest part of last season?

The toughest part of last season, minus us not making the state playoffs, was the injury bug. In the 1st game of the season, our starting running back went down with a season-ending injury, and then in the middle of the season, my center went down. In the game vs. St. Charles, I twisted my ankle, and it lingered for a game or 2. Fully healthy, I feel we make a nice run in the state playoffs. Both of those pieces going down hurt us.

What is the most rewarding part of playing multiple sports?

The most rewarding part of playing multiple sports is I’m always with my friends, whether it’s practice, the weight room, or training. It’s really fun when seasons overlap; sometimes I leave from track or basketball and go throw up on campus. Staying healthy and in shape at all times.

What is the toughest part of playing multiple sports?

The grind! No days off is real; sometimes I go 6 or 7 days a week. It’s not for the weak; you have to be mentally strong.

What road gym is the toughest to play in, along with the reason it is so tough?

Buckeye Valley HS. Their fans cheer all game long; the student section is right under the basket, so it can be irritating when shooting free throws.

What part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

When I’m playing basketball, my strength is ball handling and facilitating. I love finding my teammates for an open shot or alley-oop pass. On the field it’s my elusiveness and throwing on the run. Being able to keep drives alive is something I’m really good at.

Since the last season, which part of your game has improved the most?

My shot! I have worked and worked on making sure my shot is on point this season. Whether it’s Sundays on the shooting gun, before or after practice if possible, I’m working on getting some shots up.

What is the toughest defense to go against? Explain?

2-3 zones. It’s hard to penetrate against, so you’re going to have to shoot farther shots, and if that shot is not falling, it can be a long night. That’s another reason I’m getting them shots up.

As a point guard, what offense do you like to run the most?

It’s called Zoom. I get to attack after being chased a lot, taking handoffs, and using a lot of screens to get open. It’s perfect for my style. I get to make a lot of decisions, from pick-and-roll to attacking to score.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is something in real estate. I could see myself building and selling properties.

Thank you for the opportunity. 🙏🏽
