Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

We won the D1 State Championship for the first time in school history.

What is the best part of being a member of the Orange basketball team?

The connection that we build every year and the joy we have being together

What is the toughest part of playing both football and basketball at Orange?

I miss all of the fall workouts and scrimmages for basketball, so I come to practices later than everyone else.

What is the best part of your basketball game?

Ability to shoot the 3, play good defense, and facilitate for others

Which part do you need to improve on the most before the season starts to be a better player?

I need to become more of a vocal leader for our team this year.

What is the toughest drill to do during practice?

I feel like all the drills resemble what we see in the game, so I wouldn’t say there’s a tough drill.

What drill is your favorite to do?

The defensive accountability drill is a scrimmage, but points are based on defense.

Other than winning the state championship, what has been the biggest moment as a basketball player?

I would say, winning back-to-back district titles as a starter and making regionals both years.

How would you describe your game?

I can run the offense, knock down the three-pointers, lockdown on defense, and involve others.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

The best player I’ve guarded was Dom Aikens, a shifty point guard from Walnut Ridge.

Which gym is the toughest to play in?

Dublin Coffman—it is always a close game at their place.

What will it take to defend the title?

It’ll take a lot of hard work and comrades to get back to the position we were in last year.

What is one thing that you would like to do in a game that you might never have a chance to?

Dunk

As a basketball player, who has had the most effect on you as far as making you the player you are?

Probably my parents helping me with my shot and rebounding for me

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

Hanging out with friends and golfing

What is your favorite class or subject?

Math

What is your dream job?

Financial advisor
