Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

Last season was very rough for me and my teammates because of the success we and the Trimble teams before us have had recently. One thing that stood out to me was our home game against Belpre. Before this game, the 2015 team was honored, and we felt something different in the air that night. I ended up hitting a buzzer beat from the volleyball line to win the game.

What did you learn about you and your team after going through such a tough season in 2024? The biggest takeaway from last year for me is that sometimes, even when it is hard, you have to

Stay positive and embrace the challenges.

What must the team do to turn things around this season?

The team this year can turn things around and surprise a lot of people by buying in to what the coach has to say and playing with heart and grit.

What was the highlight of the 2024 season?

The highlight of the 2024 season was most definitely our game against Belpre. This game was at the end of the year, and I think it gives us something positive going forward.

What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?

The toughest part of the 2024 season was losing our first 9 games in a row. That was a very dark time for many of us.

What are your personal goals for the 2025 season?

My personal goals for this season are to become a more vocal leader, to learn how to steer momentum more in games so that it translates to wins, and to become a better closer.

What goals have you set for the team?

The goals I have set for this team are not a win total, but I want our team to really focus on the little things in practice and become more of a family.

Do you feel you are better at point or shooting guard? Explain

I feel good playing both positions, but I think that I feel better playing point guard. I like to be able to have the ball in my hands to set up an offense, but also to dictate the pace of the game. I also feel like it allows me to find my teammates more open looks.

Which type of defense do you like to go against the most? Explain

I would much rather play against a man defense. Playing against a man allows me to use my athleticism more and get to the rim, or if my defender decides to sag off, I will shoot over them.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

Eli Roberts from South Webster

Which away gym is the toughest to play in, along with the thing that makes it so tough?

The toughest gym that I have played in has probably been Belpre. I would say Belpre because they have their band play, their fans are wild, and their student section is always insane. Last year I was actually hit with a fishing pole.

Should there be a shot clock in high school basketball?

I think there should be a shot clock in high school basketball.

What makes you a good teammate?

I think what makes me a good teammate is that I genuinely care for all my teammates and love to see them succeed.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class is definitely history.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete is LeBron James.

What scares you?

Clowns
