Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

With limited opportunities last year due to 2 very strong classes ahead of me, I didn’t get a lot of opportunities to impact the game, but one moment that stuck out to me during the season is when our DT got hurt, and I was asked to step into a position in the middle of the game that was not mine. I tried hard and ended up having 2 sacks with 3 tackles for loss, and I have 7 total tackles.

What has stuck out the most during practices so far?

How insanely hard the team has been working and pushing each other to be great this year. Everyone just wants it really bad.

Which teammate has surprised you the most so far at practice?

Our new starting quarterback is Luke Carter. He has stepped up greatly this offseason, and he will lead our offense this year.

What are your personal goals for the 2025 season?

15 sacks, and all state

What goals are you setting for your team this season?

State Championship

Would you rather open the season with your rival, or play them at the end of the regular season?

I would rather end the season because it gives the entire team something to work for towards the end of the season.

Can the band, fans, and cheerleaders get you fired up before and/or during the game?

They absolutely can; our energy feeds off them a lot. Johnstown is known for having a great band that is always loud, so when you hear that band, it really helps get the whole team going.

What did you work on improving the most during the off-season?

The biggest thing I worked on was speed and footwork. I have gotten extremely fast and more agile as a player; that will help me make so many more plays.

What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

The strongest part of my game is my sheer athleticism, which helps me make so many plays that a lot of people can’t.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

The best player I have faced is Jaeden Ricketts; he is a 4-star committed to Ohio State. He attends Watkins Memorial High School.

What makes you a good teammate?

What I feel like makes me a good teammate is that I always try and be there for my teammates, inside or outside of football.

Tight end or defensive end: which one do you feel you are better at? Explain

While I feel like I could compete at the college level, my strongest position is defensive end, and that is where I will be playing this year for my high school.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

A college coach should recruit me because no one wants to be great more than me. Whether that is training through the soreness, getting up before school to work out, or pushing all of my teammates with me to get better.

Have you been to any sporting events at Denison University?

Yes, I have played at many basketball tournaments there.

Where is the best local spot to grab a good meal?

The best local spot is a restaurant called Uncle Johnnie’s. It’s a great place to grab food with friends or teammates.

What scares you?

What scares me is regret. Regret, the regret of not trying hard enough during practice or not making a play I should’ve.
