Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.
One of my best games last year was Fitch vs. Painesville Riverside. I had a strip sack in their own red zone, which led to an offensive touchdown for us, and it was also my first game with 10+ tackles with multiple for a loss.
What are the three biggest reasons you play football?
For my younger self, my teammates, and my family.
What are your personal goals for the season?
125+ tackles
6+ sacks
25+ TFL
Big 22 player
First team
All state
STATE CHAMPIONS.
What goals are you setting for the team?
State champions
Would you rather kick the season off with your rival, or end the regular season with them? Explain
I would rather kick the season off with our rival because I would love the hype leading up to week 1. Working all off-season, knowing that your first game would just make you go the extra mile, in my opinion.
What has been the toughest part of practice this year?
Special teams—just kidding, Coach Polder would be mad if that was my real answer. I think the hardest part has been the heat and humidity.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
One of the best players I’ve played against has to be Keller Moten from Walsh Jesuit.
What makes you a good teammate?
Leadership
What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?
My high IQ and understanding of the game.
What were you able to accomplish during the off-season to improve your game?
I’ve been able to improve my leadership and overall trust within the program.
How would you describe your style of play?
Fast
Why should a college coach recruit you?
If you want a kid who’s coachable, hard-working, and passionate, then I’m your guy. I’m willing to do whatever it takes for my team to win, and I will not let anyone outwork me.
Would you share with the readers some of the colleges that you are hearing from?
Baldwin Wallace, Allegheny, Wittenberg, Grove City, John Carroll, and some other schools.
Where is the best local spot to grab a pizza?
Wedgwood pizza, of course! I work there, and I make the best pizzas.
Have you gone to any sporting events at Youngstown State?
I have, and they have been very exciting.
Who is your favorite athlete?
Tom Brady
