Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.
N/A
What will you miss from the 2025 class?
I will miss the leadership that the class had; I learned a lot from those guys. Them leaving is a big loss. As we are a young team now, we have to have new guys step up.
What part of your game do you feel is the strongest?
I feel like my ability to roll down in the run box or flats gets me an opportunity to hit somebody or make someone cut back into another one of my teammates.
What part of your game must you improve to be a better player?
I feel like my footwork needs a little bit of improvement, but as the season goes on, I will gradually grow into the position.
Do you think every team should make the playoffs?
I believe we will have a good run in the playoffs, with some returning starters who will help us a lot.
What are your personal goals for the season?
My personal goals are to be All-City and win the 4A Championship.
What goals are you setting for your team?
To come out with the ring
What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?
Last year as a sophomore, I played running back and had 2 touchdowns in a 21-14 game vs. Columbus North and scored the game-winning touchdown.
What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?
Not filling my gaps right or having someone get to my quarterback
Running back or safety, which one do you feel you are better at?
I felt comfortable at running back last year, but the change was needed for me personally. I love playing defense, as I grew up playing the sport, and I feel that this is the right fit for me as I continue to play.
In watching some of the Hudl package, you look very comfortable running up the gut, even at 5'8 and 165 or so. How long did it take for you to feel comfortable doing this?
I had motivation from a couple of my guys in my position group telling me no matter your size, you will always be able to do anything with your willpower and mentality.
How would you describe your style of play?
I would say my style of play is attack; I love going for the ball with whoever has it.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?
Xavier Dangerfield, running back for Cathedral High School. He has a bright future ahead in the program, and I’m glad for what he has done.
What is your favorite class or subject?
I love any class with social studies or English.
What scares you?
Injuries or losing
What is your favorite local spot to grab a meal?
Chipotle
