Post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

Going into the season, I didn’t think I was going to play. A week before the season, I got my opportunity to start at center for our scrimmage, and from that point on I never looked back. I started the entire season for our team and got to experience what truly being a part of a team felt like. The team dinners and just hanging out in the locker room with my teammates made me really feel a part of a family, and that was amazing.

Who or what got you started playing football?

My dad had coached every sport since before I was born, but football was always his sport. I wanted to do whatever I could to be like the high schoolers he coached.

What are three reasons you continue to play the game?

1. I love the art that is strategic football.

2. The family you make with your team is like no other.

3. I would never be able to forgive myself if I stopped now, knowing I could’ve done better and gone further.

What makes you a good teammate?

What makes me a good teammate is that I set the standard for everyone else so I can push them.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

A college coach could recruit me because I’m a great player who can be an addition to their program to help them build for the future.

Center or right tackle, which position do you feel you are better at?

I am definitely better at center; I have significantly more reps there and am able to command the offensive line easier.

What is your favorite part of being a lineman?

My favorite part of being a lineman is this simple quote. “If a defensive lineman has one sack a game, he’s an all-star. If an offensive lineman gives up one sack a game, he’s getting cut from the team.”

What type of defensive lineman is the hardest to face in a game?

The hardest type of defensive lineman to face in a game is simply one who studies film. Everybody has slight tendencies, and if a defensive lineman can pick up on yours before you pick up on theirs, you’re in trouble.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

I don’t have a specific memory of a player from another team, but the best player I have ever faced is Axel Ramazani. A defensive end who I faced every day in practice and made me perform my best

What part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

The strongest part of my game is pulling. I’m fast for my size, so if I get out into space making a block, I’m very successful.

Which part of your game must you improve to be a better player?

I want to improve on my ability to recognize defensive formations just by how they are lined up. Giving both me and my team a better chance to succeed

Would you share with the readers some of the colleges you are hearing from, along with any offers you have received?

I have spoken to many schools at the Division 3 as well as the NAIA level. I have offers from 3 schools. Loras, Buena Vista, Waldorf.

What are your goals for the season?

My goals for this season are to help my team make the playoffs and receive a minimum of first team all-district.

What is your favorite type of music?

I love country music and artists like Zach Top, Alan Jackson, Luke Bryan, and more.

What are you doing for fun outside of sports?

I spend a lot of my time working and hanging out with my girlfriend and friends.

What is your favorite animal?

I have a dog named Theo, who I love to take out on adventures.
