Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
One of my favorite parts of the season was the 3-day camp we had last season and having the time to build as a team and learn how to work as a team.
How important is it to you and the team to win your bowl game?
It means a lot. Last week was our first game of the season against Bellevue, and we dominated against them, and it was really great to start the season off like that.
What was the best part of the 2024 season?
Going into our first district game against Frankfort and blowing them out.
What are your goals for the season?
Definitely to win first team all-district and to allow 0 sacks or pressures.
What goals are you setting for your team?
To play as one and to win the district.
What is the best part of being a lineman?
100 percent dominating your opponent on Fridays.
What is the toughest part of being a lineman?
Working through the small injury that we get on the line.
Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?
Adrian Martinez and I would go at it every practice last year. Brought energy and competition to practice every single practice.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
John Luke Miner plays at Sayre; he’s a really good D-end.
What is the toughest part of the first day of practice?
100 percent the conditioning on the first day.
What is your favorite part of practice?
Going into team period and completing it with your teammates.
Can the band, fans, and cheerleaders get you fired up?
The fans definitely can. If there’s a small crowd at the game and no energy, we’re going to have a bad game, but if there is a big crowd and there’s a lot of energy, we’re going to all be hyped.
What makes you a good teammate?
I’m always helping my teammates if they mess up and helping them get better.
What is your favorite type of music?
R&B and rap.
Where is your favorite local spot to grab a bite?
Eminence really doesn’t have much in town, but it would probably be Subway.
Who are your role models?
My mom and my grandma, because of how hard they work, and they push me to become a better person every day.
