Big Moment/Memory from last season: In my first varsity start on defense against Shaler, I had an interception and stuffed them at the goal line.

The best part of being a student athlete at Butler

I love the amount of opportunities there are; whether it be coaches or teachers, everyone there is trying to help you and make you a better person.

Quarterback or middle linebacker, which one do you feel better at?

I feel more confident and comfortable at quarterback; it is a position I have played for many years. Although I would say I’m better on defense because I’m good at flipping the switch and going after it every play.

What is the best part of playing quarterback?

I love being a leader on the field, and quarterback is the perfect position for that; plus, you have influence on every play because you always handle the ball.

What is the toughest part of playing middle linebacker?

Being able to keep my emotions under control and getting up after every play, whether it was good or bad.

What are your goals for this season?

My goals are to throw and run at least 20 touchdowns, pass for 1500 yards, rush for 1000 yards, lead the team in tackles and forced fumbles, establish our offense as a passing threat, and have a strong defense.

What goals are you setting for your team?

Our team wanted to get strong in the offseason, which we did well at. We also want to score on at least half of the drives we have the ball, along with creating more turnovers on defense.

What is the strongest part of your game playing both quarterback and middle linebacker?

I would say I’m a very tough and physical player no matter what side of the ball I’m on. I never take plays off, and I have a relentless mindset.

What makes you a good teammate?

I love coaching up and leading my teammates to get better and win. I push my teammates to their limits, and I always ask for their best effort when we’re at practice.

What has been your biggest moment as a football player?

My biggest moment was playing the best game of my career at our homecoming game, then going to the dance and everyone kept congratulating me on the win and how I played.

As an athlete, what has been your most embarrassing moment?

I always found it embarrassing how much I struck out in baseball when I was younger; I would always strike out and get extremely frustrated with myself.

How are you getting over a bad game? -

I normally won’t; it sticks with me the whole season and gives me a reason to push harder and be a better player.

Who is the best player you have faced in a game, along with what team he was on?

Our last game of the season last year, we faced Clarion, and they had a huge quarterback who was fun to tackle. I also was put in at running back to block him all game at safety.

What is your favorite type of music?

80s Rock

What state would you like to visit for the first time?

I would like to visit Texas because of the weather and the amazing football.

What is your go-to snack?

Go-Go Squeeze, by far, tastes amazing and is full of energy.
