Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
Last year was a struggle for me personally. I had multiple small injuries that would end up not allowing me to play my freshman season. One special part of my season last year was our Olentangy Berlin game at home; the student section and vibe were so surreal. We ended up beating them, which we have not done in a while.
What will you miss the most from the 2025 class?
I will miss the past seniors leadership that they brought to the whole team.
What are your personal goals for the season?
My goal this season is to put up a great varsity highlight tape with multiple sacks. I also want to increase my interest in terms of college teams and hopefully pick up a couple more offers through my high school career.
As a younger player, which teammate are you going to for help as far as football-related problems go?
As a younger player, my go-to for when I need any sort of help is an upcoming senior named Chase Martin; he is a great person to have on your team.
What is the worst part of the first day of practice?
The worst part of the first day of practice is the tension that you feel to earn that starting spot on Friday nights.
What is the best part of the first day of practice?
The best part of the first day of practice is to show what you really have to the coaches to put yourself in a position to be great for the season.
What is the toughest part of being a lineman?
The toughest part of being a lineman is the responsibility. If you can’t do your job up front, it makes everyone else’s defense jobs way harder. You have to do your jobs every single play you're out there.
What is the best part of being a lineman?
The best part about being a lineman is being able to dominate the person in front of you and being violent on the field.
What type of offensive lineman is the toughest to go against?
The toughest O-lineman to go up against is a patient one that knows where and when to shoot his hands.
What is the strongest part of your game?
The strongest part of my game has to be violence off the ball. I have to do what I have to do to get to that ball.
During the off-season, what did you do to improve your game?
During the offseason I mainly focused on being more explosive and my twitchiness. And I did that by doing box jumps on command, squats, and reaction tests.
What game are you looking forward to the most?
I’m looking forward to our first home game this season. We are going with all-black jerseys, and it’s going to be a great game vs. Westerville North.
What makes you a good teammate?
What makes me a great teammate is that I don’t sugarcoat anything because that does not make you better. If I see something that’s wrong, I’m just telling you the straight truth so it can get fixed quicker.
