How did you become a member of the Foxfire family and football team?
It was the end of my sophomore year, and the school had come to us with football sign-ups, which was the first time in school history, so I thought it’d be fun to try out.
What was it like taking the field last season for your first home game?
It was pretty nerve-wracking but also very exciting at the same time. I was worried I’d embarrass myself, mess up a play, or forget a play, but overall, in the end, it was a great game and a great experience.
What was the best part of the 2024 season?
I’d say the best part of my 2024 season was our game against North Adams. I believe I had 94 rushing yards that game, which is the most yards in a single game I’ve gotten so far, but I believe as a team the beginning of our season was our highest point.
What was the lowest point of the 2024 season?
My lowest point was our last home game, which was also our last game played against Richmond Heights. We got blown out 34-0 that game, and on senior night, I believe it was a horrible performance overall, and if I could go back and do it differently, I would.
What are your goals for the 2025 season?
I think this upcoming season, which will be my senior season, I would like to challenge myself to be a better leader amongst my team, number one, but I would like to challenge myself this year and break my own personal records from last year.
Which game are you looking forward to the most this season? Explain
Our first game at home is against Peebles, a team that broke us down mentally and physically last year. It’s giving me a kind of playoff type of feeling.
Who was the best player that you faced in a game last season, along with the team he played for?
I can’t remember his name or jersey number, but he played for North Adams. He played everything on the field, and I, for one, could not stop him. He was a very quick and determined player.
Who is the toughest teammate to face at practice?
My toughest teammate to face at practice would be my brother; it’s always a competition to see who can outperform the other.
Middle linebacker or running back, which one do you feel you are better at?
I feel as if I’m better at running back at the moment, but I’ve been spending time on my own trying to be a better defensive player at linebacker.
Middle linebacker or running back, which one is the hardest to prepare for?
Running back is harder to prepare for. I have to get a feeling of what the defense is like before I can really start to get in a rhythm.
What makes you a good teammate?
I feel as if I try and uplift and show my teammates the way where it’s needed.
What are you doing during the off-season to help you become a better player?
I ran track and was a part of Foxfire’s power lifting team.
Who are your role models?
I can’t say that I have any at the moment.
What are your favorite and least favorite styles of music?
My favorite style of music is country. I can’t really decide on a least favorite.
Where is the best local spot to grab a pizza?
The best local spot has to be Kecks Pies and Pints.
