And some memories from that season were the bus ride back from our win vs. Springfield; the music was loud, and everyone was laughing and having fun on the way back.

What makes being a member of the St.John’s Jesuit football team special?

I would say the special thing about being a part of the St.John’s Jesuit football team is that with me being a new transfer, everyone takes you in and makes you feel at home; it’s my second family.

What does community buy-in mean to you and the team?

I would say the community buy-in for me and the team plays a crucial role in our success. If we have the community riding with us and supporting us, everyone’s going to have the desire to play 100% every play no matter what.

What is the biggest difference between St.John’s Jesuit and Maumee?

For me, I would say the biggest difference is the want and drive at St. John’s; the standard is perfection.

What shocked you the most from the 2024 season?

I think the thing that shocked me most from the 2024 season was some of the plays that I made outside of the pocket with not only my legs but also keeping plays alive and completing big passes down the field.

How would you describe your style of play?

I would describe my style of play as a dual threat. The reason being is I can sit in the pocket and make all the throws, but when the pocket collapses or you need two yards or a big first down, I’m willing to lay my body on the line to get those yards.

Is there a pro or college quarterback that you pattern your game after?

I would say the quarterback that I try to replicate my game to be like is Josh Allen. He’s got a big arm while still being able to get you yards on the ground with his legs, and he is always finding a way to keep plays alive.

What is the toughest part of being a quarterback?

The toughest part about being a quarterback is the mental part of being a quarterback. You can easily lose confidence off of one bad play or one bad game, and when that happens, it’s hard to come back from.

Which part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

I think the strongest part of my game is my accuracy. I can fit the ball into some tight windows, and being able to put balls in certain spots, the receiver is the only one able to get to it.

What did you accomplish during the off-season to make you a better player?

What I accomplished this offseason to make me a better player is improving my speed and also my strength, not only throwing the ball but also overall lifting strength.

What makes you a good teammate?

I think what makes me a good teammate is I’m going to hold you accountable; I’m not going to let you settle for less than what you can do.

How do you get over a bad game?

I get over having a bad game by watching film of the game and writing down the mistakes, and I will go to the gym and go work out or go golfing to push it in the past and prepare for the next team.

What are your personal goals for the season, as well as the goals you are setting for the team?

For me, my personal goals will be getting at least 1000 passing yards in the 5 games I am able to play and at least 10 touchdowns. For the team, I would say being above .500 and making a run in the playoffs.

Have you gone to a Toledo Mud Hens game?

Yes, I have.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant.

What is your go-to snack?

My go-to snack would have to be a fruit medley with pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, raspberries, and mango.
