Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
My sophomore season was very good. I had 31 receptions, 335 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns. One memory from last season was my team’s trip to Steubenville last year. It was a cool experience getting to play in that stadium. Another big moment of the season was my team’s GCL win over the Alter Knights. Alter has always been a good team, and it was fun being able to beat them. My favorite memory from last season was scoring my first varsity touchdown against CJ.
What are your goals for the season?
My goals for this season are to have 600 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns, and be named All-State.
What goals are you setting for the team?
The goals for the team are to win a GCL championship and win the state championship.
What will you miss the most from the 2025 class?
The thing I will miss most from the 2025 class is the relationships and friendships I made with them. I always enjoyed being able to talk with the guys and go out and compete with them on the field.
How did your baseball season go?
My baseball season overall went well. We were able to finish with a 17-10 record, but unfortunately we lost in the second round to Monroe.
Which sport, baseball or football, do you believe you are better at?
I believe that I am better at football.
How long have you played each sport?
I have played football for 3 years and baseball for 11 years.
What sacrifices have you had to make while playing sports?
I have had to make a lot of sacrifices while playing sports. Often times, I’ve had to sacrifice time hanging out with my friends or even miss a family gathering or event.
What is the biggest lesson that you have learned from playing sports?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned from playing sports is to never stop trying. If you always work hard enough and stay determined, good things will happen.
As a wide receiver/tight end, which type of weather do you prefer to play in?
I prefer to play in cool, dry weather. Playing in dry weather allows me to catch the ball easier. The cool weather doesn’t make it seem too hot, but also not too cold.
What was the highlight of the 2024 season?
The highlight of the 2024 season was beating the Alter Knights, which allowed us to compete for a GCL championship.
What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?
The toughest part of the 2024 season was losing our starting quarterback, Braden, due to a torn ACL. Braden had a great football IQ and always provided great leadership to the team.
Where should the state finals be held?
I think the state finals should still be held in Canton because of the history behind the stadium. Although, I do think it would be fun playing a state final in Paul Brown Stadium.
Have you gone to a Cincinnati Bearcats game?
Yes, I have been to a Bearcats game.
Who are your role models?
My biggest role model is my mom. She always stays determined on whatever she is working on and is always there for me.
What is a sport that you wish you could play but do not have the skill set to?
One sport I wish I could play is surfing. I think it would be really fun but always requires a lot of good technique and balance.
