The biggest thing from last season I took away was how to deal with the times a team can be down. Obviously, we went 1-9 and struggled the whole year, but I could grow from that.

Back when I interviewed Coach Burchfield, I told him in my opinion he is one of the top five coaches in the state. Since he has taken over, what have you seen as the biggest change from last season to now?

The energy and intensity of practice are amazing; the coaches push us to levels I have never seen, and I’m excited to see how it can translate to a game.

What are you most excited about this season?

I’m excited to get out there on a Friday night in front of all the fans and show the OCC we are a different team now.

What makes you a good teammate?

I would say how badly I want to win. I want to push my teammates as far as they can to become the best team we can be.

What has been your biggest achievement as a football player?

Being named second team all-OCC was my biggest achievement.

With this being your final high school season, have you approached things differently than you have in the past? Explain

I would say that the time I am spending with my team is what I’m going to remember, so I’m making sure I’m enjoying my time.

What is the best part of being a center?

I get to touch the ball every play.

What is the toughest part of being a center?

Blocking a head-up nose guard

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

Daniel Stevenson on Olentangy Braves

Who is the toughest teammate to square off against during practice?

Tyson Keys and Dayton Wallace

What is your favorite drill to do at practice?

Oklahoma drill

What is the worst part of the first day of practice?

The helmet is hurting your head.

Would you share with the readers some of the colleges that are showing interest in you?

I have 2 offers from Ohio Northern and Capital University and a couple of D2 schools.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

Yes, I would.

What scares you?

Getting seriously hurt

Have you gone to a Columbus Clippers game?

Yes, I have, and I love the games.
