Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
After starting off strong and getting off to the first 5-0 season since 2001, we had a great season not only by having the most wins in a long time but also by how we pulled together throughout the season, which led to our success.
What or who got you started playing football?
My parents signed me up for youth football in third grade, and then I found my true love for the sport .
What keeps you motivated to keep playing the game?
I have a competitive spirit, so I always want to get better. I also have a sibling rivalry with my brother, so we push each other to the maximum in everything we do.
What was your personal highlight from the 2024 season?
In the game against Hilliard Bradley, I had a great double-team block with my brother, and it sprung RB Braylon Adkins for a 40-yard scamper for a touchdown.
What do you believe is the strongest part of your game?
Over the last year I feel like I have solidified my footwork and hand placement, which gives me control on my blocks.
What have you been able to accomplish to help you improve your game this season?
I've been going up to T3 performance every weekend and training with Dale Rodick and Chad Hounshell in Avon, Ohio, also training with Jeff Greene at Greene Speed, while also spending 4 days a week with my team in the weight room, where I've gained 40 pounds in preparation for the upcoming season.
What are you looking forward to the most this season?
I look forward mostly to the competition with all my off-season improvement. I'm excited to see how my intense training transitions to the field.
Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?
I feel like Delan Chadeya or Gabe Rodriguez push me the hardest; both are going into their senior year and the heart of our defense.
Left guard or center, which position do you feel you are best at?
I would say left guard because I'm more comfortable with it since I've been playing it all season, but if the time comes and I'm playing center, I'm going to play my heart out.
What is the best part of being a lineman?
The luxury of being a lineman is that every play I get to hit somebody.
What is the toughest part of being a lineman?
Knowing that every play I can't miss because it is my responsibility to do my job to make sure that my running back and quarterback can do theirs.
For a lineman, which weather is the worst to play in?
There is no weather that will stop me from giving my all, but the worst to play in is the rain.
What is your favorite part of practice?
The whole practice I'm just grateful I get to play the game, but my favorite is conditioning because it shows who is there for not just me but the team.
Who are your role models?
Lane Johnson inspires me because of his mobility at his size.
What is your favorite class or subject?
Math is my favorite subject because it has always been my easiest subject.
What is your favorite energy drink?
I don't drink energy drinks. I make sure to get 8 to 10 hours of rest, and that fuels me throughout the day.
