I was awarded All-Camp team. Invitation to San Antonio for the Navy National Combine at the FBU Future Showcase in December 2024.
Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
My 2024 Dawg team started out on fire, winning our first five games. With the solid start that we had, it motivated me and my team to push one another to continue to play better.
With a new season rapidly approaching, what have you been able to accomplish to help you be a more dominant player?
I spent my off-season working with Coach Jeff Greene at Greene Speed and Coach Dale Rodick & Coach Chad Hounshell at Lineman Lab at T3 Performance in Avon, Ohio. We worked on speed, footwork, and spacing along with 1 vs. 1s and hand placement. I also worked with my team 4 days a week, trying to get stronger and faster in the weight room.
What are your goals for the 2025 season?
After winning the OCC, my personal goals would be 1st team all OCC and then Max Preps All American.
What goals are you putting on the Grove City Football Team?
My team goals would be to win the OCC and compete for a state title.
What are you looking forward to the most this season?
Running out of the tunnel every home game in front of the thousands of Grove City fans while giving them something to cheer about.
What is it like getting to play with your brother?
It's always good to have him on my right side because I know what to expect. We have a good relationship, and we can depend on one another to help each other out when needed.
What did you learn last season that you are going to use to be a better player?
Throughout the season I learned that motivation is the key to success. I found that if I stayed positive and motivated, my team would follow my lead.
What makes you a good teammate?
I'm a good teammate because I'm just as much of a coach as I am a player. I want everyone to get better because it makes the team better. Better teams equate to more wins.
Which game are you looking forward to the most?
The game I'm looking forward to is the first game of the year at Teays Valley to kick-start the football season. I'm not one to look ahead; I prefer to take one game at a time.
Would you rather play your rival week one or week ten?
I would rather play the rivalry game week 10 because I feel that gives the team time to gel and settle in before our toughest competition.
What is the worst weather for a lineman like yourself to play in?
There is no bad weather to play the game I love because if it isn't raining, we aren't training.
Who is the one teammate that is the toughest to square up against during practice?
There is no one toughest player at Grove City; they're all challenging. The players that give me a run for my money are seniors Delan Chadeya and Gabe Rodriguez.
What does community buy-in mean to the team and school?
Thankfully, Grove City has a massive community buy-in. Community support is most important for a team because it allows for new uniforms and equipment, not to mention the awesome field and facilities we are privy to on a daily basis.
What is your favorite amusement park?
My favorite amusement park is Kings Island, even though the bigger I have become, the harder it is to fit on the rides.
What song gets you hyped up the most before a game?
There are a couple of songs: Enter Sandman by Metallica and "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue by Toby Keith are my favorites to hype me up.
Where is the best local spot to grab a pizza?
My favorite local pizza shop is Grandstand Pizza, but my favorite road trip pizza is Village Pizza in LaGrange, Ohio.
