Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
It was a rough season, going 1-9, but it taught me something bigger, and that was that I have amazing teammates that fought with each other every week, and we got so close. We always kept each other's heads up high no matter what. Especially winning that game.
What did you learn about yourself last season that you can use this season to be a better player?
I learned that I can fight adversity really well. I don’t give up at all, and I am always a competitor. This will help me a lot because we play a tough schedule, and we are bound to face adversity, and I want to be the one people can look up to and lean on.
Which part of your game do you believe is the strongest?
My leadership and my ability to extend plays. If people are down, I’m the guy they look to. When plays crumble, I can use my legs and my eyes to make a play happen using either my legs or my arm.
Is there a pro or college quarterback that you pattern your game after?
This year it was Will Howard from OSU. He is a big guy with a strong arm that can move with his legs. He does anything for his team and is a big hype guy and a great leader. He’s what everyone loves to have on their team. He gets everyone up and ready for every game, and that’s what I see myself as.
What are you doing during the off-season to help grow your game?
Off-season, I am working on my mechanics and working on my speed and just knowledge of the game. During the season I watch lots of film and try to get mentally ready every single game.
What makes you a good teammate?
My leadership and the way I always want the team to succeed, not just myself.
Which type of defense do you like facing the most?
Any because I know my guys can make plays if they get the ball against any defense.
What has been your biggest moment as a football player?
Winning my first game as a varsity starter against River Rouge when we were picked to lose. I threw for 2 TDs and rushed for 1. I had a fade ball to give us the lead in the final minutes.
What is your favorite type of weather to play in?
Probably like 70 and cloudy.
Grass or turf?
Turf because that’s just what I am used to.
If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?
Yes, I will. I love to compete against the best of the best.
How often do you get together with your receivers and running backs to work on your timing on your own?
We work all the time. Not just working, but we build bonds while we do it. We all are bought in to getting better.
Where is the best local spot to grab a pizza?
I’m not a big pizza guy, but near me is Marcos. Quick and easy!
What is your favorite class or subject?
My favorite would be Spanish because the teacher was amazing.
Have you gone to a Toledo Rockets football game?
Yes, I have. I have been to the last couple BG vs. Toledo games.
