One of my favorite moments from the season was always the day after games when we would go in for a film session at 7am and then get some McDonald’s breakfast after that and go watch the JV ball out.

What makes you a good teammate?

Being the locker room guy who tries to make people laugh, but also when it comes to serious times, we’re all locked in, and when they aren’t, I let them know.

Last time we spoke you, you said to better your game, you needed to get better at running the football and making plays with your feet. Were you able to achieve those things?

As of right now, I have increased my 40 time by .2 seconds, from a 4.8 to a 4.6, thanks to Alex Costa over at Iron Strength and Conditioning for helping me get my speed up.

What will it take for the Wildcats to not only improve on the 7-4 record but also make a deep playoff run?

Grit and Heart We know we’re not going to sneak up on anyone this year, so it makes it that much harder, but we’ve got a group of guys that believe.

Will you play all three of the sports—baseball, basketball, and football—in your senior season?

Sure will! I've done it my whole life might as well finish it.

What are your personal goals for the season?

Throw for over 2,000, run for 200 throw 25 touchdowns.

Which game are you looking forward to the most this season?

All of them.

Would you rather beat your rival and miss the playoffs or lose to your rival and make the playoffs?

I’d rather beat my rival and make the playoffs and win a game.

Which defense do you like facing the most?

All of them

What is your favorite part of practice?

Definitely defensive days—I love seeing the guys hit and have fun. while I’m on the side getting everyone hyped

What is the worst part of two-a-days?

Waking up for 2 days, but besides that, it’s fun.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?

Definitely

Athens Bulldogs use balanced attack to down Wellston Golden Rockets 41-0

  *Using the rosters from both Hudl and Max Preps* The Plains, OH Last night I made the hour-long drive to Athens High School to watch the Bulldogs host the Golden Rockets of Wellston. Entering the game, the Bulldogs came in 7-0 and ranked number 10 in division three. Wellston, much improved from last season, entered 5-2. In the game last year, Athens won 47-28. Wellston started out doing exactly what they needed to do to have a shot at winning the game. They came out and ate most of the first quarter with a drive that had last for 15 plays going for 69 yards. Things would start going wrong for them on the sixteenth play of the drive. They faced fourth and four from the Bulldogs five, and they elected to go for it, where the pass and the second attempt of the drive fell incomplete, forcing a turnover on downs. On the drive facing a third and one, Seth Lambert picked up twelve. Later on the drive facing third and fifth, Johhny Scott picked up 10-yards after he could not find anyon...
