Awards won or earned: track meet MVP, leading defensive player, 105 tackles in a season
With this being your final high school season, have you prepared any differently in the off-season? Explain
I have prepared so much more differently by training with purpose. I’ve shifted my focus toward training like an athlete and joined the track team to work on speed and hit the field to get my steps. I also have a whole new mentality going into this new season—a winning mentality.
Boardman improved by five games from the 2023 season to last season. What must you guys do this season to have a better record this season?
This season we have all agreed we have to fight and attack first mentally this year.
What do you believe were some of the main reasons for the big improvement?
Our team came together and found out that to win, everyone has to want it.
What did you learn the most from the 2025 class?
Passion can go a long way.
Last time we interviewed you, you said that you needed to improve these two things about your game. "IQ and slowing down my pace in the game." Were you able to accomplish this?
I have learned to slow down, and since last time I’ve matured a lot more and learned the game.
I asked you during our first interview what your goals were for the 2024 season, and you said that "to get myself put out there and ball out, I also want to record 70-plus tackles for the season and 1000 yards ran." Which of those goals did you accomplish?
I accomplished way over the goal with 105 tackles in the season, which was outstanding.
What makes you a good teammate?
I love to motivate others and tell them to do their best.
Which game are you looking forward to the most this season?
Explain Austin-town Fitch; it’s such a motive because they have always been that team to beat and end.
If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you? Explain.
I 100% would; it would be such an honor to play in one myself and a dream.
Middle linebacker or tailback, which one do you feel you are best at?
Both equally because I know as a player I can be great. Not a doubt in my mind.
Middle linebacker or tailback, which one do you enjoy playing the most?
Middle linebacker is very enjoyable because you get to hit people and make game-changing plays.
Are you hearing from any college coach as far as playing at the next level? If so, could you name some of them?
Yes, so far a couple, Denison University and a couple more.
Have you been to any sporting events at Youngstown State?
I am going to do a school visit soon, and also there are upcoming football camps.
Where is the best local spot to grab a pizza?
Cocas pizza by far.
Have you watched any of the UFL spring football games?
No
