What will you miss the most from the 2025 class?

Definitely the seniors; they were a big part of my football career, and it sucks to see them gone.

With this being your final season, have you prepared any differently in the off-season?

Yes, a lot more speed training, and I have dropped weight to be faster.

What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Making it back to state and finally winning the title.

What is the best part of being an offensive lineman?

Getting pancakes

What is the toughest part of being an offensive lineman?

Definitely the 20 play drives; those will wear you down quick.

What part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

Run the game this year.

Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?

Last year, definitely Linden Sammons; he played defensive end for us last year, and he was tough.

Who is the best team that you have faced, and what made them so good?

Highlands, they were 5A and had some Division 1 players.

What makes you a good teammate?

I try to be a leader on the field for my teammates to keep us together when games get tough.

What did you learn about yourself during the 2024 season that you can use to be a better player this season?

I learned that I needed to get quicker, which I have worked heavily on in the off-season.

What is your favorite play to have called?

Definitely inside the zone.

If you are hearing from any colleges, would you name some of them?

I have an offer to Rio Grande and have been hearing from Centre, Georgetown, UPike, Morehead State, and Cumberlands.

What are your favorite and least favorite types of music?

My favorite type of music is country, while my least favorite type is probably pop music.

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

I like to lift weights and hunt in my free time.

What is your favorite class or subject?

Definitely history

  Yesterday I drove to Portsmouth and met up with my friend Bill Norman after dinner at The Portsmouth Brewing Company before driving over to Spartan Stadium to watch the semi-pro football game and watch the Port City Spartans host the Columbus Fire. I have been to over 1,500 football games, or close to that amount, and I can say none of them prepared me for what I ended up seeing. The stadium had one set of lights that did not work at all that I had seen before (Jackson State University). One pole had a light missing, and another pole had one single light that did not work at all on the visitor's side, making the field dark. I saw a fan on the Spartans side of the field standing with the players vaping, and I saw a player setting on the bench for most of the game also vaping. The game itself was stopped once when the refs walked off the field for what one player on the Spartans said was because a Columbus player said something about going after the ref with a gun. Two times first team all MSL, two times first team all district, two times honorable mention all Ohio What were the high and low points of the 2023 season? I’d say a high point would be doubling our wins from the 2022 season. Some low points would be losing three close games that would’ve given us a higher seed in tournament play and not being able to win a playoff game. I’m going to miss the amount of leadership the 2025 class had, but luckily the 2026 class has many leaders as well. What were your personal goals for the 2024 season? My personal goals this season were to stay relaxed at all times and make smart decisions while under pressure. And have a successful season. Were you able to attain the goals you set?
