What are your personal goals for the 2025 tackle football season?

Lead the region in tackles again, make it further in the playoffs as a team, make an all state selection at linebacker, be the regional defensive player of the year

What are your goals for the season?

Win!  Help lead the team to a regional and state title!

What is the toughest part of a Buena Colts practice?

Conditioning.  We are a small 5A school and have a lot of two way players.  We have to be in great shape all season long.

What is your favorite and least favorite part of practice?

Favorite part is team.  Getting to work against the scout team and learning the opponents formations/plays and what we are going to do for adjustments.

Least favorite is offensive team.  They won’t let me play on the scout team defense and I want to play!

What is your favorite and least favorite type of weather to play in?

I love to play in the rain or snow.  Don’t like when it’s over 100 degrees at kick off hard to stay hydrated.

What makes you a good teammate?

I feel like I am a brother to all my teammates we have a strong brotherhood.  Willing to help all my teammates learn and get better.  Help push them when they are struggling

Which part of your game is the strongest?

Run defense.  Finding the ball.  Great at filling and going my job

What part of your game must you improve before the season starts so that you can be a better player?

Man coverage.  Pretty good at zone drops need to get better at man.

As a middle linebacker, which type of offense is the toughest to prepare for?

We have seen it all.  I think the offense that has a ton of fast athletes is the hardest because it’s hard to mimic that speed during practice.  So it takes angle adjustments that have to be adjusted during the game to account for speed

Who has been the best team that you have faced in a game, along with the thing that made them so good?

I would have to say Marana.  Their pass offense is great with great athletes.  QB is highly accurate.  Had one of the best WRs in the country.

Turf or Grass?

We have a grass field so partial to grass but like both

Which teammate is the toughest to square up against at practice?

TJ Walker or Mike Lujan.  Both studs.  Hard hitters and great athletes

What is your go-to snack?

Blueberries

Who are your favorite and least favorite college football teams?

Favorite O state.  Least favorite Michigan

Lacrosse

Have never played before and they don’t have the sport here in southern AZ but would love to learn and play
