What are you going to miss the most from playing high school football?
Being around my best friends and sharing the field with them.
What was your personal biggest moment on the football field?
My first catch. It was my 3rd high school play ever. We were on the 40-yard line. I ran a corner, caught it, and reversed field for my first high school touchdown and catch.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Wayne Football team?
I was upset to never step on the field with all my brothers again. I remember walking off and smiling with one of my best friends, even though we just lost.
Of all of the wins, which one meant the most? Explain
Definitely our week 11 win my junior year. It was the win that got us into the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.
Which loss hurt the most? Explain
Our round 1 loss my junior year. That was my favorite group of guys I’ve ever played with. When you put so much into a game with a group of guys you love so much and come up short by only 5 points, it hurts.
Who was the best player that you ever faced in a game, along with the team he played on?
Definitely Dane Hatfield from Herbert Hoover High School. He’s a great dual-threat QB, and it’s just so hard to defend that.
What was the high mark of the 2024 season?
Starting out 4-1. We lost two key players in week 3, and it hurt us a lot, but we still played our hearts out every week.
What was the low point of the 2024 season?
Week 4. We got beat in every aspect of the game.
Now that the high school part of your high school football career is over, what do you wish you would have done differently?
Gain more weight. I don’t regret anything except for a few holding calls.
If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you? Explain
Oh, for sure. I’ve always wanted to play in one as long as the distance isn’t too far.
What has been the best and worst part of the recruiting process?
The best part is getting to see all the beautiful campuses I’ve been to and form relationships with people I otherwise would’ve never met.
Would you share with everyone some of the schools that are recruiting you?
Georgetown College, I committed there this morning; Marietta College, Mount St Joseph University, Capital University, Waynesburg University, Denison University, and a few others.
What made you choose Georgetown College?
The culture, the coaches, the location, and the people. I went up on a game day visit and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. It felt like home.
What would you do if there were no cell phones or internet?
Play more football and spend more time with my loved ones.
What scares you?
I don’t like those robots on stages at arcades. There’s this place in my area, and they’ve got them there. Been terrified of those things since the day I saw them.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
My mom makes sausage pasta, and it’s the best food I’ve ever eaten. If there was a food I could give to the rest of the planet, that’s what I’d give them.
