What were your feelings as you walked off of the field for the last time as a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg football team?

It was very sad. Knowing I wouldn’t play with my brothers anymore was difficult for sure.

What mark do you believe that your class left on the football program?

We were the first team to go undefeated in the section. We were the first team in LS history to make it to the State Championship game. This team was unselfish and did things the right way and hopefully set the program up for future success by providing a high standard.

What was the highlight of your high school football career?

Making history for the LS program and being named PA Class 4A Player of the Year!

Of all of the wins, which one meant the most? Explain

The first time we played Wyomissing. They are a tremendous football program, and we have never beaten them. They hadn’t lost at home in 7 years going into the game, so for us to go on the road and beat such a great team was extremely memorable.

Which loss stung the most? Explain

Well, we were 14-0 going into the State Championship game, so losing to a great team, Bonner-Prendie, was tough.

Who was the best team that you faced, along with the things that made them so good?

Bonner-Prendie was the toughest team. They were extremely well coached, they had a passion for competition, and they were talented at every level on both sides of the ball.

Who was the best player that you faced, along with the team he played on?

Definitely Chase Eisenhower at Wyomissing. He was terrific on both sides of the ball.

What was the biggest lesson that you learned from playing high school football?

TEAM is bigger than self. Our LS creed is something to live life by, not just applicable to football.

With the high school portion of your football career being over, is there anything you wished that you would have done differently? Explain

The season was perfect. The experience was amazing. I wouldn’t change anything about my time at LS playing football.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

Absolutely. I love to compete, and getting the chance to play with other great players would be exciting.

What has been the best and worst part of the recruiting process?

Best…meeting great people and seeing lots of wonderful programs. Worst...having to sift through the opportunities and make an adult decision. Especially when there are so many great opportunities.

Would you name some of the schools that you are hearing from, along with any offers you have?

I have been blessed to receive offers from DII and DIII schools throughout this process. I’ve also been blessed to meet and connect with so many schools…It’s been really fun.

What scares you?

New things and change can sometimes be scary.

What would you do if there were no cell phones and internet?

I would still live my life with friends and family but definitely spend more time outside. lol

What is a sport that you would like to play but do not have the skill set to do so?

Definitely basketball!
