(Basketball) Warren Warriors win the battle against Fairland 55-46

Albany, Ohio Fairland Dragons entered their contest with Warren Warriors at 6-0, while the Warriors came in at 5-2. Most fans thought this would be the game of the day of the five that was scheduled at Alexander High School and part of the Spartan Classic.

Both teams were focused and showed the fans that this was going to be a quick-paced game with a lot of contact. Leading by four after one, the Warriors were able to increase that lead to six at the half, 29-23. They increased that lead by one after three, 41-34, then won the game by nine, 55-46.

Chase Lupardus, averaging 14 points and 9 boards, led the Warriors in the win with 22 points. He had double digits in rebounds too, as he seemed to get his hands on almost every ball that did not go through the hoop. The kid seemed to know where the ball was going before the ball did. Julian Stadleman, averaging 18 points, again checked in with 17 points and a handful of assists. Senior Connor Barry scored 9 points, including one three.

For the Dragons, Cliff Fransen and Brody Buchanan each scored 12 points. For the game, the Dragons made 9 three-pointers while the Warriors hit just two threes.
