(Basketball) Riverview Black Bears roll over Ridgewood 66-46


 

Coshocton, Ohio—In the nightcap, Riverview (3-4) started a little slow, then they dominated Ridgewood (4-4) by the score of 66-46. Ridgewood hit 10-13 free throws for their high mark of the game, while Riverview struggled at the line, hitting just 7-16. Ridgewood also won the battle of the boards 37-33. From there it was basically all Riverview. Hitting 7-18 from three-point land was the winners, while the Generals were ice-cold going 2-15. The Black Bears hit 19-32 two-pointers while the Generals went 15-42.

Hayden Walters led the Black Bears with 19 points; he had help from Cael Summers with 13 points and Carter Wesney with 11 points. A player who looked very promising in the little floor time he got was 6-6, Gavin Bahmer. The youngster had 4 points and a few rebounds. He could be a force, if not this year, definitely in 2025-2026.

For Ridgewood, the only player in double figures was Parker Snyder, who came off of the bench to score 11 points.
