(Basketball) Coshocton Redskins scalp Martins Ferry 70-42


This afternoon in St. Clairsville, Ohio, Coshocton put a beating on Martins Ferry 72-40. The game was tied after one quarter; from there it was all Redskins. Leading the way in the win with a game-high 26 points was Colton Conkle. He scored inside and outside as he had few problems putting the ball where he wanted. Chipping in with 12 points on 4 3-pointers was slick shooting Logan Lonsberry. After a slow start, 6-5 Alex Taylor came on to total 15 points.

For the Purple Riders, their 6-6 star, Alexander Reece, led the way with 18 points. The only other player for Martins Ferry in double figures was Logan Smith.

Both teams had seven players score in this one. Martins Ferry had just three players score in the first half.
