What are you going to miss the most from the 2025 class?
There’s no correct answer; I, along with the rest of the team and coaching staff, will miss all 5 seniors. These are some of the best and hardest-working guys I’ve ever met in my life, and losing them is a great detriment to this team.
What was the biggest lesson you were able to learn from the 2025 class?
The biggest lesson I learned was to keep a positive attitude no matter what.
What makes you a good teammate?
I never shift blame and take full responsibility; I also try to keep others spirits high.
During the season, did you feel you were best on the offensive line or the defensive line? Explain:
I feel I was best on the offensive line due to me and my guard Kam Lowry’s huge role in our team’s offense; also, I didn’t play nearly as much defense and offense this year.
Who was the best lineman you faced in a game this season, along with the team he played on?
Number 11 on Grandview Heights, he’s more like a TJ Watt-style DE/LB. He was a pain to block through the whole game and was constantly disrupting our offense.
What is your biggest strength as a lineman?
I feel my mental discipline is my biggest strength, as I had zero holding calls and two false starts all year.
What must you improve on before the 2025 season starts?
My overall strength and technique when it comes to stretch blocking.
Which win meant the most to you this season? Explain:
Beating Lakewood in week 10 to secure the first playoff appearance with Coach Calhoun.
Which loss stung the most? Explain?
Losing to Utica in week 8. The game was a low-scoring defensive battle that we couldn’t win. We had a chance to take the lead on the goal line with around a minute left, but we couldn’t execute. I’ll take the blame for that, as I should’ve rallied up my guys up front to execute our blocks properly.
When do you start training for the 2025 season?
As a football player who wrestles, the training never stops. We started our program lifting the week after Thanksgiving.
What will you remember the most from the 2024 season?
Going 2-0 for the first time in years with the guys I’ve been playing with since the 4th grade.
What is your favorite type of music?
I lean more towards rap and rock, but I have a 48-hour-long playlist that has everything from heavy metal to Japanese indie rock.
Who is your favorite athlete?
My favorite athlete is either Nick Chubb or Joe Thomas.
What are you doing for fun outside of sports?
I like to play and learn songs on the ukulele and keyboard, and I enjoy watching documentaries.
