What will you miss the most from the 2025 class?

The hard work we put in during the season and during the summer, even though the season didn’t go the way we wanted it, we still made the playoffs, which was our goal.

What were you feeling as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Logan football team?

The feeling didn’t feel right. I’ve been wearing purple since I was in the second grade, and it just didn’t feel right. I will never be able to suit up again for the Logan Chieftains, but I know God isn’t done with my football journey yet!!!

What was the high point of the 2024 season?

The highest point of the season as a team was beating our crosstown rivals, Nelsonville. For me, the highest point was being able to play all the great teams we did in the OCC.

What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?

The toughest part of the season was knowing going into OCC we didn’t have any D1 recruits or didn’t have the depth and size as these other schools.

Which win meant the most this season?

The one against Nelsonville was the most meaningful one because a lot of people from Logan know a lot of people from Nelsonville, and it was nice to smack them in the mouth.

Which loss stung the most? Explain

Lancaster's loss stung the most because we were in that game until the fourth quarter, and it also was homecoming, and I knew our team was able to win that game.

Looking back at all of the games you have played as a high school football player, which one will you remember the most? Explain

The playoff game against Big Walnut is the game. I’ll always look back to it because it was the first time I’ve ever made the playoffs in my high school career, and it was a wonderful feeling to make it and play a team as good as Big Walnut.

Staying with the theme of all of the games you have played in, which team was the toughest, along with the reason you believe they were so good?

Pickerington Central was the toughest team. They have so many good athletes on that team, and they're coached so well; that’s why I believe they are as good as they are.

The last time we spoke, you had said you wanted to improve on leadership skills and to be able to get control of the locker room. Were you able to achieve improving those things?

I was able to achieve those. The freshman listened a lot more, and I got respect a lot more for my team. I just hope the future kids that go to Logan realize no matter how big or how small you are. You can go play football anywhere at the college level.

What has been the best and worst part of the recruiting process?

The best part of the recruiting process is being able to meet these wonderful coaches and look into the different universities and then give me opportunities to play. The worst part is when you reach out to your favorite colleges and they don’t respond, but that’s on them for not getting the talent I bring to the table.

Would you name some of the colleges that are recruiting you?

Some colleges that are recruiting me are Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace, Heidelberg, Mount St. Joseph, Mount Union, Ohio Northern, Capital, Southern Virginia, Tiffin, Marietta, Muskingum, John Carroll, Waynesburg, and Grove City, and a couple of other colleges I can’t remember.

Now that your high school football career is over, what do you wish you would have done differently?

What I wish I would’ve done differently was start my recruiting process earlier. Also, maybe we should transfer schools for a better opportunity and could’ve helped the younger guys out a little bit more. But at the end of the day, I will always bleed purple and white, and no matter what people say about Logan High School, I will always stand next to them. GO
CHIEFS!!!

What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas because I love being able to put smiles on kids faces and be with my family and also because wrestling season is starting. starting.

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?

I would say shrimp Alfredo is hands down the best. No better home-cooked meal.

What is your favorite current TV show?

I really don’t get into the TV shows, but I say the best movie is Greater. What happened to the Arkansas lineman is upsetting, but I always wanted to be like him.

Words from Dominik "Also, I just want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this from the beginning of the season and towards the end and for what you have done for me. I wish you the best and happy holidays."
