What was the biggest lesson that you learned from playing high school football that you can use later in life?

Never give up. Always strive to be the best you can be.

The last time that I interviewed you, I asked you, What part of your game do you need to improve on to be a better quarterback? You said recognizing when it’s a good time to throw the ball away instead of forcing a play. Were you able to do this this season?

Absolutely, I’ve doubled my touchdown passes and thrown three times fewer interceptions. recognizing when the play was dead or alive played a large role in that

What are you going to miss from playing high school football?

Playing ball with my best friends

What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a high school football player?

Disappointed, sad, and hopeful.

What was the high point of the 2024 season?

Starting out 4-0 after a great win against Point Pleasant

During your high school career, which win meant the most? Explain

Point Pleasant. A game we haven’t won since 2006. We made the city of Ripley proud that night, and we showed the state we are contenders.

Which game during your career hurt the most? Explain

Losing our first round of playoffs. I tore my ACL on the first drive of the game. We started out so strong, causing a turnover on their first play. and to have a season-ending injury on the first drive of the biggest game of my life was devastating.

What was the toughest moment in your high school football career?

Going through my junior season. Nothing was working, and it ate at me all year.

Who was the best team that you played against, along with the thing that made them so good?

Herbert Hoover. Impossible to stop their offense. They had a really good defense that had a plan for everything.

What has been the best and worst part of the recruiting process?

The worst part was trying to get my first offer and camping everywhere across the east coast.

The best part was being able to call Coach Giancola to tell him I’m committing.

What made you choose Roanoke College?

The coaches and the goals they have set for the next 4 years. The academics and facilities are excellent as well.

Looking back on your career, what would you change?

I would have locked in my freshman year instead of waiting until my sophomore year.

Who are your role models?

God. Joe Burrow. CJ Stroud

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?

Grilled Cheese

What is your favorite type of music?

Alternative Rock
