*Doing interviews with players from Licking County means a little more to me, being I spent most of my life in Buckeye Lake.*

What will you miss most from playing high school football?

I’ll definitely miss the people and the atmosphere. I was able to play with some of my best friends my whole life. Then the people at the games, they get real loud and excited; it’s a great feeling.

What made playing at Northridge so special?

Playing at Northridge was so special to me because of the community. We have some of the best fans and community around; they support us no matter what is going on.

What mark do you believe your class left on the football program?

I think we showed them it takes more than just good players to be a good team. That they have to have leaders and that it takes very hard work.

Who was the best player you ever faced in a game, along with the team he played on?

The best player I’ve ever played is Cy Finnen. He’s from Edison. He played running back and outside linebacker. He was one of the toughest people that I’ve ever had to bring down. He has a mentality where he’s not going to go down from first contact.

Who was the best team you faced in your career, along with what made them so great?

My freshman year we played Fort Frye in the first round of playoffs. I think what made them so good was just the fact they were hard workers. They were never giving up on plays and never took plays off.

What game will you remember most?

I will definitely remember my freshman year when we beat Johnstown. I remember our student section stormed Johnstown’s field after we won. It felt as if we had just won the Super Bowl.

What win meant the most during your career?

The win that meant the most was that Johnstown win. It had been forever since we beat them, and to be a part of it was great.

What was the biggest lesson that you learned during high school football?

I think the biggest lesson I learned is that everything takes work. Nothing comes easy, and if it’s easy to do, it’s not worth doing.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

Yeah, if I’m invited, I’d love to play. I think the All-Star Games will be a lot of fun. Especially if I’m able to play with some of my teammates one last time.

What part of your game must you improve on before moving to college?

Obviously my size and strength, as I am undersized. But my next biggest thing is definitely my speed and footwork.

What have been the best and worst parts of the recruiting process?

The best part is definitely getting to see the gameday atmosphere at these colleges and seeing their facilities. The worst part is reaching out to them. You can send lots of messages and emails, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to get a response.

Could you name the schools that are recruiting you?

Yeah, I currently have offers to play football at Muskingum University, Wilmington College, Otterbein University, and Heidelberg University.

One of the best places to watch a D-3 football game is in Granville, Ohio, at Denison University. Have you ever been to a game before?

I have not, but I wish I had the chance to. I just love watching football.

What is your favorite type of music?

My favorite genre of music is definitely rap, with some of my favorite artists being Lil Uzi Vert, BigXThaPlug, and Drake.

What would you do if there were no cell phones or internet?

I would be a totally different person. I listen to a lot of music throughout the day, and my life would be completely different without it.
