Pascack Valley pulls away from Rancocas Valley 31-14

Egg Harbor Township. NJ- Rancocas Valley Red Devil and Pascack Valley Panthers did battle in a game that was entertaining as well as lopsided, where each team flashed some big plays. Montre Wilson  busted free for a 71-yard Red Devil touchdown followed by a successful point after kick from Jameson Hollander to make this a 7-0 game with just a little over one minute going in the opening quarter. The drive would last just four plays and total 81 yards.

Kai Smith got things going for the Panthers with two runs totaling 19 yards, but the drive soon fizzled on a failed fourth down try. The last big play in the mostly defensive quarter came on a 19-yard run from hard-running Kevin Regul
one of the multiple path runners.
Smith, a solid two-way player for the Panthers, would sack Sayvien Adams for an 11-yard loss seconds into the second quarter. After getting the ball back, PV used an 11-yard run by Adam Shaw. Facing a fourth and six, the Panthers would convert with an 11-yard pass from Shaw to Ashton Kazinci. The 7-play, 58-yard drive came to a close on a 6-yard touchdown run from Smith. After Evan Starr was true on his point after kick, we had a 7-7 game, with 3:31 left in the half.

The Panthers would strike twice more in the quarter to take a 21-7 lead into halftime. The first score came on a run by Shaw, who broke to tackles on his way to pay dirt. The second score was set up when Smith took the ball away from Ryan Woodruff on the ensuing kickoff. The score itself came on a one-yard run by Regula. The big play on the drive other than the touchdown itself was a Shaw to Regula that totaled 24-yards.

Just sixteen seconds into the third quarter, Shaw used a great ball fake to fool the defense and connect with Dante DaCosta for 25 yards. The 3-play, 65-yard drive concluded on a 38-yard run from Shaw, making this a 28-7 game with 10:28 remaining in the third quarter.

The Red Devil would go on a 10-play time consuming drive that ended on a 29-yard catch by Devin Duana to make this a 28-14 game. A 28-yard run from Jameer Bellamy helped set up the score.
The final score came with 8:38 left in the contest, with Starr using his strong leg to connect on a 31-14 game. The drive went for 15 plays and totaled 72 yards.
