Who or what got you started playing football?
My brothers, who I lived with at the time, were confused as to why I didn’t because I was good at the playground. Then I decided to play in my 6th or 7th grade year.
What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?
A good-rewarded end to my high school career, whether that was All City Rewards or even Team Rewards.
What goals are you setting for your team?
Winning the city championship and then some.
What must Independence do to make sure you get off to a fast start this season?
Making sure our foundation is set when our coaches aren’t around and paying close attention to the details early.
What was the most rewarding part of the 2023 season?
The win streak we accomplished after facing adversity.
What is the toughest part of practice?
Hitting the sled at our efficiency, definitely.
What is your favorite part of practice?
Probably the breakdowns of our offense and just watching everything unfold.
Track or football—which one are you hoping to do in college?
Whichever is more beneficial to me after these last two seasons.
What is the strongest part of your football game?
My speed and route-running IQ.
Who is the toughest teammate to face in practice?
Montael Davis, he’s going to get loud, get in your head, and try to outwork you. He’s a real competitor and pushes everyone.
After the season, if you earn an invite to one of the all-star games, will you play?
Yes.
If you are hearing from any colleges, would you tell us one or two of them?
I’ve gone to Tiffin’s Camps and talked with the coaches, looking forward to more visits soon.
What is your go-to snack?
Sour patch kids
What scares you?
Losing people I love, I couldn't think of anything physical.
What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
College football or UFC fights.
