Note: Hart County has been very easy to get the interviews with. I caught them last season for the very first time in their opener.

What is the toughest aspect of being a student-athlete at Hart County High School?

Keeping your grades while trying to win games

What is the best part of being a student or athlete at Hart County High School?

Being a winner and being able to play under some great coaches that have experience in the game.

What is your game-day routine?

Get up, go eat with some of my teammates, go to school, go home, eat a banana, and drink some water, then head to the stadium.

How long have you played basketball and football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve played football since I was about 5. I played flag football.
And I’ve played basketball since I was 3.

Hart County had an unbleiveable season in 2023, going 13-1 in the District Champs, Region Champs, State Semi Finals, and Best Team in School History, including a nice win in the Don Franklin Auto Bowl (I covered that one). What does the 2024 team have to do to take the next step and make it to the state?

We just have to come in day in and day out and be 1-0, and the wins will stack up, and I believe we can definitely make it to state as long as we do that.

What were the feelings as the clock stuck to zero after the Bell County game?

Feeling defeated, I feel like the whole team knew we could have won that game, but Bell County was the better team that night.

Fullback or middle linebacker—which position are you better at?

I would say linebacker.

Fullback or middle linebacker—which position is the toughest to prep for?

Linebacker because you have to read the offense every week.

What are your personal goals for the 2023 season?

My personal goals are to get 5+ sacks, 60+ tackles, and 500+ total yards.

Including all sports that you have played at any age, what has been your biggest moment?

Winning region, for sure, that feeling will never be hard to beat.

What is the toughest part of practice?

Defensive line drills

Grass or turf?

Turf

What is the strongest part of your football game?

Being versatile.

Where is the best mom-pop place to grab a meal?

Murray’s in Munfordville

What is your favorite type of music?

I would have to say country.

ESPN or Fox Sports

ESPN
