What game are you looking forward to the most this season? Explain
I’m most excited for our homecoming game against Watkins. Watkins is always a tough team, and our home game atmosphere is always awesome, especially for Homecoming.
What is your most memorable moment as an athlete, in any sport, at any age?
My most memorable moment so far would probably be our playoff win against Tri Valley last year.
What makes being a student-athlete at Granville High School so special?
The friends and community, along with the success we have together, make playing for Granville great. I’ve grown up playing with my current teammates, which is something I’m very grateful for.
How did your track season go?
This was my first year running track, and I did better than I expected. My main goals were to have fun and get faster, both of which I was successful at.
Track or football—which of the two are you hoping to do in college?
I’m looking to play football in college, more so than track.
Who is the one teammate who is most likely to do something to get a laugh from the team when things are a little tense?
Michael Carr.
Which teammate is the toughest to face in practice?
Dylan Layne is a really hard worker and is always tough to go against.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?
Tavien St. Clair QB for Bellefontaine was good both times we played him.
How important is it to you to earn an invite to one of the all-star games after the season is over?
My focus is on the season itself, but if I received an invitation to an all-star game, I’d definitely play.
Why should a college coach recruit for track or football?
I’m strong, fast, physical, and a hard worker.
Are you hearing from any colleges? If so, would you name one or two, along with the sport they are recruiting you for?
I’ve heard from some schools, such as Heidelberg and Kenyon, about football.
What is the one thing you want to do in a game but most likely will never have a chance to do?
I’ve always been a defense-first player, so catching or running for a touchdown would be pretty cool.
Have you been to any sporting events at Denison University?
I’ve been to a few baseball games.
Where is the best mom-and-pop place to grab a meal?
The Lot in Granville
