How long have you played football, and why do you continue to play?

I've been playing football for 8 years, and I love the game.

What is the best and hardest part of playing high school football?

The best is going out there and competing under the lights; the hardest is workouts.

What were your personal goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to accomplish those goals?

My personal goal was to collect college offers and get on coaches radars for recruiting. The other goals were to name all cities and states. And yes, I accomplished them.

Guard or defensive tackle. Which of the two positions do you feel you are better at?

I feel that I’m better at guarding because I feel like that position can take my career further into the future.

Of the two positions, guard and defensive tackle, which one is the hardest for you to prepare for?

Defensive tackle

In watching some of your Hudl stuff, the thing that stuck out the most was your strength at guard and the way you continue to punish the man in front of you. Is there a college or pro lineman that you pattern your game after?

Yes, actually, some people like Trent William Penni Sewell. Jason kelced a lot of the dawgs on the oline.

How much film should you watch on your own to prepare yourself for the next game?

A lot 

What do you feel is the one thing you need to improve on the most to become a better player this season?

Speed and weight loss 

What have you done during the off-season to aid you in becoming a better player?

Working on my weight loss 

In watching a lot of city league games from all over the state, one of the common things I see is that the team numbers are down. As a player, what do you do to try and get some of your classmates to come out for the team?

I ask them to come try out or ask if they play any sports.

What were the high and low points of your 2023 season?

The highs of the season were starting 
And my low was that it was tough because it was my first year back after surgery.

Who is the best player you faced in a game during the 2023 season, along with the team he played for?

The best player I went against in 2023 was probably Jordan Sewell from Hoban.

Do you play any other sports for Akron East? If so, which ones?

No, I used to play basketball until I broke my leg.

Outside of sports, what do you do for fun?

Nothing really
