You play both football and baseball. How long have you played each sport, along with the reasons you continue to play?
I have been playing football and baseball since I was four years old. I continue to play both sports because of the friendship that comes out in both football and baseball. The thrill of the competition and the joy of the game make it all worth it.
With this being your final high school football season, are you preparing any differently? Explain
Yes, I’m preparing differently. I’m preparing to try and be the best player on the football field. I’m going to give it my all every time I step on the field. I want to leave a good example for the younger players.
What was the high point of the 2023 season?
I’ve got to say I didn't lose at home at all last year.
Which game are you looking most forward to, along with the reason why?
I’m looking forward to week one against North Decatur; they are our rivals, win or lose. It's fun playing them.
What are your goals for the 2024 season?
Be the 1 A sack leader.
Beat my sack recorded my sophomore year.
What have been the highlights of your football career so far?
Playing with my older brother for the longest time.
Who is the toughest teammate to square up against in practice?
This year it’s got to be Corbin Johnson, but last year it was my older brother.
What is your favorite part of practice?
When we do 1 on 1 for D-line
What is the toughest part of being a lineman?
For offense, try to make holes for the running back. For D-line, knowing which move works the best.
Can you share with the readers some of the camps you have attended, along with the biggest thing you have taken from them?
I have been to the Prep Red Zone, Indy Mega Camp, and Franklin College Camp. Learning new moves todo on the O-Linemen.
If you are hearing from any colleges, would you care to name some of them?
I haven’t heard from any colleges.
How important is it to you to earn an invite to the North vs. South game?
It is important to me to get an invite to the North vs. South game.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
I usually sit outside all day and just watch the sky.
Who is your favorite college football team?
I have got to say Ohio State or Alabama.
What is your go-to snack?
Bag of chips or some gummies.
