2024 Interview with Hayden (THE COMEBACK KID) Webster from Fairview High School (Ky.)

Name:Hayden Webster

School:Fairview High School

Positions played:OL,DL

Graduating year:2026

Height and weight: 6'0, 250lbs

How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve played football almost my whole life. I continue to play because it’s something I enjoy, and I love the team.

What do you believe is the strongest part of your game?

I think that my football IQ is what makes me a good player. I think that’s what separates me from other players.

What are you doing during the off-season to improve your game?

We’ve all been hitting the weight room hard, but I think the biggest thing for me is getting into the shape I need to be in for football season.

What is the toughest part of being a lineman?

I definitely feel like the whole offense or even defense depends on you. If you can’t block for your guys, they aren’t going to be able to make any plays.

Which side of the line is the hardest for you to prepare for? Explain

I would say the defensive line is definitely harder for me to prepare for.

Which game are you looking forward to the most this season?

Without a doubt, play Raceland.

Focusing on the road games that you have played in, which stadium has had the best overall atmosphere, along with the reasons why it was so good?

Probably Leslie County my freshman year. They had the best student section I’ve ever seen, and you could tell their community was involved.

What will Fairview have to accomplish before the season starts to make them better and have a winning season?

We have the talent that we need to be a good football team. We just need a change of culture, and that’s what Coach Roy and ourselves are doing right now: changing the culture. We don’t feel like we’re going to be a 2-9 team anymore; that’s not what we expect. We know we can beat every team on our schedule, and that’s what we plan on doing.

What is the toughest part of practice?

100% conditioning. Coach is definitely getting us in shape this year.

What have you accomplished this offseason to help you become a better player?

I feel like my attitude has improved.

With so many college coaches looking at Hudl, how often do you update your page?

Well, with me not playing last year, it’s definitely been rough putting myself out there, as far as Hudl goes. But once I get some more film, I will update it every week.

What made you come out for the team this season, after taking off last season?

I really missed it after not playing last year. I also feel like Coach Roy and the team have the ability to do something special this year, and I want to be a part of it.

With so many schools facing low numbers, what do you do to try and get your classmates to come out for the team?

I tell them to give it a shot, put in some effort, and I think they’ll like it.

Outside of sports, what do you do for fun?

I like to spend time with my family and friends and work.

What is your go-to snack?

Pop tarts.

What is your favorite video game system?

Playstation 5.
