How long have you played football, and why will you continue to play?
I have played since I was 5 years old in kindergarten, and I will continue to play because I love the sport and love working for it.
With this being your final high school football season, are you preparing any differently? Explain
Yes, I am preparing differently by sharpening my speed and strength to become a player that people will be surprised by. I am also preparing myself by having faith in myself and always betting on myself and my team to win.
What was the high point of the 2023 season?
Having a winning record and going undefeated at home.
Which game are you looking most forward to, along with the reason why?
I look forward to the North Decatur game because the atmosphere of that game is crazy and it gets me pumped.
What is the toughest part of a South Decatur practice?
The toughest part is the conditioning, for sure. It’s pretty rough.
What is the toughest part of being a running back?
Elbows, hands, and knees were bruised after the game.
What is the best part of being a running back?
Running people over and scoring touchdowns.
What have been the highlights of your football career so far?
Junior All-State, Max Preps Ath of the Week, OPOY 2022 and 2023, and breaking rushing records.
What are your goals for the 2024 season?
Break more rushing records—2,000+ rushing yards—and lead the state in rushing yards.
Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?
Reid Messer is a heck of a player; he played for North Decatur.
Can you share with the readers some of the camps you have attended, along with the biggest thing you have taken from them?
UIndy Mega Camp, Georgetown College Camp, and Prep Redzone Camp are a few of many others. The biggest thing I have taken from them is to always be open to criticism from coaches.
If you are hearing from any colleges, would you care to name some of them?
San Diego State University, Hanover College, Wabash College, Georgetown College, Mount Saint Joseph, and Knox College are a few.
How important is it to you to earn an invite to the North vs. South game?
It’s really important to me. It’s a great opportunity to play with the best. I’ve worked hard for this.
What is your favorite type of music?
Rap music is my favorite. NBA Youngboy, Jdot Breezy, and Bossman Dlow.
What goes on your burger?
Occasionally, I’ll put Chick Fil A sauce on it, but mainly ketchup.
Who is your favorite athlete?
Bijan Robinson is a great RB.
