What is the best part of being a student-athlete at East Hardy High School?

I’d say the best part has to be the small community we have that supports us by doing so many things to help us athletes!

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete?

The toughest part is getting seen; since our school is so small, good athletes get overlooked.

With this being your final high school football season, have you found yourself preparing any differently?

I’ve prepared a little bit tougher, but with a chip on my shoulder since I’m stepping into such a huge roll and a big season ahead of us!

What are your biggest concerns heading into the 2024 season?

Not too many concerns; I hope we don’t deal with too many injuries or typical things.

What do you feel is the best part of your game?

Being able to extend plays and make good throws on the run has got to be my strong suit!

Which part of your game must you improve on to be a better quarterback?

This summer I’ve seen that my throws are not coming at fast enough, so I’ve got to improve that some!

Would you share with the readers the camps you have attended, along with the camps you are going to hit, and the biggest lesson you are learning at those camps?

Yes, I’ve attended Fairmont St., PrepRedZone camp, Coalfields southern summit, and Coalfields Invite only. I plan to attend a Glenville St. camp as well as Shepherd University One! The biggest lesson is to be patient. Your time will come; just put your faith in God and keep your head up!

What is the toughest weather for you to play in?

Cold weather with some wind has got to be it, or cold wind with rain.

Grass or turf?
Turf

After the season is over, how important is it for you to earn an invite to one of the statewide all-star games?

I think it’s important for an extra chance of recruitment and to show colleges I can play with kids from bigger schools!

If you are hearing from any colleges, would you share one or two of them with all of us?

Manchester University

Where should the state finals be held?

Marshall or WVU

Where is the best local spot to grab a good meal?

Lost River Grill or Marinas

What is your favorite type of music?

R&B and Country
