How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I have been playing football since I was four years old. I continue to play because I love the game and I also know what it can do for my family and me.

What are you going to miss the most from the 2024 class?

I’m going to miss having fun with my seniors and learning from them.

What was the highlight of your 2023 season?

My highlight was a 6-yard hitch for a first down.

What was the low point of the 2023 season?

Most of my 2023 season was low; that’s why I work as hard as I do.

Who was the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

The best player I faced in a game was probably Kentrell Reinhart.

What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?

My personal goals for the 2024 season are to rack up some good film while also making a run in the playoffs. 

What goals will you set for your team this season?

I want my team to make it far in the playoffs and eventually to the state championship. 

What is your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?

My biggest accomplishment as an athlete so far has been being named Varsity Scholar athlete of the year. 

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

My most embarrassing moment as an athlete was dropping a late-game pass over the middle.

What is the toughest part of practice?

The toughest part of practice is conditioning. 

What is your favorite part of the practice?

My favorite part of practice is running routes against a defender, mainly because it helps my teammates and I improve and prepare for real games.

Where should the state finals be held?

State finals should be held at Ohio State or the Cincinnati Bengals field. 

What is your go-to snack?

My go-to snack is a rice cake with peanut butter and bananas.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class in school is history, mainly because it is cool to learn about.

Who is your favorite athlete?

A lot of people know my brother is in the NFL, so I won’t say him, though besides him, my favorite athletes are Jameson Williams and Brandon Aiyuk.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
