What are you going to miss the most about playing high school football?

The environment of playing under the Friday night lights.

What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time?

I kept thinking, “Wow, this is really it,” over and over.

What mark do you believe your class left on the football program?

My class helped win a gold ball as sophomores, and with that came more people joining the team the following year, and I believe we left behind what it takes to get to that level.

As a high school football player, what was your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment, in my eyes, was either winning the gold ball or becoming Piketon’s all-time leader tackler.

All-star games used to be such a big deal, almost an honor for the player. If you are invited to play in one, will you? Why or why not?

I’ve been invited to a couple big ones, but I’m not going to play. I feel like if there was a more local one around southern Ohio, that would mean more.

Now that it is all said and done, does it seem that your season went by faster than previous seasons?

Yes, Coach Gullion would always say the days go slow but the weeks go faster, and it really felt like that this year.

What is your fondest memory of playing high school football?

Being down versus Zane Trace my sophomore year and intercept the fake punt on 4th down to give us the momentum to score and put us ahead.

What was the high point of the 2023 season?

Starting out 4-0, we gained the confidence we needed to help us throughout the season.

What was the low point of the 2023 season?

The loss to Zane Trace with their running back playing quarterback essentially the whole game.

You had a very good senior season. Did that lead to many schools recruiting you?

I had many division 3 schools reach out to me.

Would you share where you will be going to college with the readers, along with what you will be studying?

I will be going to Shawnee State University and studying environmental engineering.

If you have a chance, will you be taking part in any Piketon games this season?

Yes, I will go to all the games I can make it to next year.

What is your favorite sports movie?

The blind side

Who is your role model?

My uncle, Zach Brownfield

What is the one sport you cannot watch on TV?

Soccer
