Right tackle
2025
You missed last season due to an injury. Can you share with the readers the injury and how your recovery has gone?
I tore my ACL and meniscus. The recovery has been challenging, but for the most part, I have a good team to keep me focused and on top of it.
What will you miss the most from the 2024 class?
There was drive and love for the game; they all wanted to win.
What is the toughest part of playing right-tackle?
Playing tackle, you don’t get noticed a lot, so when you lose a rep, all eyes are on you, so I would have to say being versatile with the different fronts we face
What is the best part of playing right-tackle?
Just knowing that I’m protecting my quarterback and the relationships built with my lineman
What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?
How far I have come as a player and how I am getting better every day
I read that you also wrestle. How do you believe wrestling helps you when it comes to football?
It keeps me agile and light on my feet, helps with footwork, and is just like being a dog in the trenches.
What are you looking forward to the most as far as the upcoming season goes?
I just want to play with my boys again, ball out, and, most of all, win.
What do you need to improve on the most to be a better player?
Just continue to get stronger, quicker, and smarter, and focus on keeping my body right to pervert injury.
What have you been able to accomplish during the off-season to become a better player?
I’ve been able to focus more on school, building strong relationships with my team and coaches, and learning from my injuries to take care of my body first.
After your senior season, if you are invited to play in any of the statewide all-star games, will you?
Yes, I would. I think it would be a great experience and very good exposure.
How important is it for you to have a winning season in 2024, especially with it being your final season?
I think it is very important, especially post-season.
Who is the best player you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?
I would say Justin Hill or Winton Woods.
Of the off-road stadiums you have played in during your career, which stadium has had the best overall atmosphere?
Elder
Staying with the road games, which stadium has been the worst to play in, along with what made it so bad
Indy Cathedral was grassy and had humps.
