2025

Uncommitted

Heading into the 2023 season, what goals did you set for yourself, and did you achieve those goals?

Heading into the season, I wanted to make sure that I was on the field as much as possible, and by starting on both sides of the ball, I made that happen.

What was the highlight of the 2023 season?

I think the highlight of my 2023 season was when we shut out Licking Heights.

The Green Wave suffered a rare losing season, going just 3-7. What do you believe went wrong?

I don’t think that there was a very good player-coach connection throughout the season.

During the 2023 season, who was the best player you faced, along with the team he played for?

In the 2023 season, I think the best player I played was Connor Corbett, a RB from Heath.

What are you going to miss the most as far as playing football at Newark Catholic?

Newark Catholic has a very strong community and a great history to back up their football team, and I think the thing I’ll miss the most is the relationship I had with my teammates.

You have changed schools for your senior season. Could you share with the readers the school you will be playing for along with what brought on the change?

This coming football season, I will be playing for Granville High School. I made the change over to Granville in order to face greater competition and to help be more recognized in sports.

Which road stadium that you played in during the 2023 season was the worst to play at, along with the reason it was so bad?

The worst road stadium I played at was Northridge High School; it was a mud bath, to say the least.

Where do you feel the state officials should be held?

I loved playing at the HOF stadium my freshman year and plan on being back there next fall.

After your senior season is over, will you play in any of the state-wide all-star games if you are invited?

I am definitely looking forward to competing against the best in Ohio.

What are you most looking forward to as far as the 2024 season goes?

I am excited to be playing a higher level of football and being able to compete against some great competition.

What do you think will be the biggest adjustment you will have to make to your game to help you succeed at Granville?

I'm definitely just making sure I’m staying locked in the film room so I can pick up as many keys as I can to help me.

I have just started asking these questions to players and coaches this year. Do you feel that private schools have an unfair advantage over public schools?

Through my years at Newark Catholic, I would actually say they have it a little harder than public schools, at least in a county like licking where there are so many public schools in close range.

What is the one food you refuse to eat?

I absolutely hate peas.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class is probably history or architecture design.

Who are your favorite and least favorite pro football teams?

My favorite team is the Bengals, and my least favorite is either the Chiefs or Steelers.
