What will you miss the most about playing high school football for Bloom Carroll?
I feel like the Carroll community really comes together, and it makes you want to play better.
What mark do you believe your class left on the football program?
I wasn’t here very long, but I feel like the mark would just be to work hard whenever you can.
What was your biggest accomplishment as a high school football player?
I like to compare myself every year to who I was a year ago and look at how much better I got for the upcoming season.
What was your biggest disappointment as a high school football player?
Being told by an athletic trainer that I couldn’t play in my last game ever
What were your feelings as you walked off the field after your last game?
I had mixed feelings—bittersweet, some would say.
All-star games used to be such a big deal, almost an honor for the player. If you are invited to play in one, will you? Why or why not?
If I had the honor to play against the best of the best, I would take the opportunity, no doubt.
Who was the best player you faced in a game as a high school player? along with the team he played for?
Going back to my junior year, I’d probably say either RB Chris Edmonds ‘23 from Toledo Central Catholic or RB Daivontay Young from Dunbar High School.
Who was the best team you faced, and why do you believe they were so good?
Again, my junior year I will definitely say Toledo Central Catholic; I’d definitely say it starts with the oline. They always have the size to physically dominate, which opens up everything else for their playmakers.
Of all the road games you played in, which stadium was the worst to have played in?
Amanda Clear-Creek, Oregon Clay, and Hamilton township
Could you name some of the schools that recruited you?
Bethany, Otterbein, Ohio Northern, Defiance, Marietta, and Mount Union
What were the best and worst parts of the recruiting process?
For me, it wasn’t too bad or anything like that, but the worst part was definitely getting your DM ignored by coaches.
What made you choose Otterbein?
It’s close to home, and I want to help rebuild this program.
Will you, if possible, go to any Bloom Carroll football games this season?
Absolutely not. It’s time for me to focus on my college football games this season.
What is the one food you refuse to eat?
Pumpkin pie
Who is your favorite athlete?
I actually don’t have one.
