What is the toughest aspect of playing high school football? The student-athlete part.

You have to remember that you are a student first.

What is the most rewarding part of playing high school football?

The family you build along the way.

In watching your Hudl highlights, the way you play on the kickoff team looks special. Do you Pattern that part of your game from other players?

No, but I always make sure to be aware of my teammates and where they are on the field, and I pattern where I go based on their positioning as well.

In reading your numbers from the weight room, do you think your strength shocks some of the guys you face in a game?

Numbers are great on paper, but big numbers do not matter if you can’t apply them to the field, which I think I do well in, so yes.

What were your personal goals heading into the 2023 season, and did you achieve those goals?

Some of my personal goals were to be a leader and help the team. I feel as if my goals were met, but I’m setting my goals even higher for the 2024 season.

What must you improve on the most to be better on the field this season?

I must improve my speed, tackling, and reaction to the ball.

What have you been able to do during the off-season to aid you in becoming a better player?

Some of the things I’ve been doing to become better in the off-season are football camps and powerlifting. I’ve attended many camps, and I’ve also been working with AP prep to get stronger and faster.

What are you going to miss from the class of 2024?

The class of 2024 is a very special class because those guys were my friends growing up. I’ve grown up with these guys, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play ball with them and watch them grow not just as players but as people.

If you could change one rule when it comes to high school football, what would it be?

I would change the targeting rule.

Where should the state finals be held?

Columbus

Grass or turf, which do you prefer to play on?

I prefer turf.

If you could add a school to join the SVC and get rid of a school in the league, who are the schools you are choosing?

I would add Waverly to the SVC so we could beat them in football like we do in basketball. I would get rid of Huntington.

What was the last book you read along with the author?

The last book I read was “Discipline Equals Freedom” by Jocko Willink.

What is your favorite meal?

My favorite meal would have to be chicken Alfredo.

What is your favorite genre of music?

I’m not big on a specific genre, though I do find myself listening to “Beautiful Girls” by Sean Kingston.
