2024 Season-ending interview with Jino Mozzocio from Neshannock High School (PA)

Image
Jino Mozzocio Neshannock High School QB/DB 2026 Jersey #1 How much do you believe you grew as a player and leader this season? I think I grew a lot this year compared to last year. I was more mature, completely understood the offense, and became a leader throughout the year.   What was the highlight of the 2024 season for you as a player and then as a team? For me as a player, it was winning another conference title, but we gotta stop settling for those as a team. I’m proud of how we grew together and how we fought through adversity. Who was the best team that you guys faced this season, along with what made them so good? The best team we faced this year was probably the Elwood City Wolverines; they had a ton of seniors and were well coached. In looking at your stats, you appear to be a dual threat quarterback. What part of your game do you believe is the most dangerous? I believe I’m most dangerous running the football, but as a quarterback, you can’t be one-dimension

Christopher Roberts Jr. Trinity High School 2025 Inside linebacker What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a high school player? I was sad at first, then my teammates cheered me up and made me realize I left no regrets. What was the high-mark of the season? When we won against Cardinal to start a win streak What was the low point of the season? The 3-game losing streak from week 2 to week 5 How do you feel you grew as a player this season? I feel like I’ve learned how to become more of a leader and a teammate. How did you handle things when things got tough during the season? We are just working to better ourselves. What will you remember the most from your high school football career? I will remember this season because we won the CVC Metro Division, and that hasn’t been done here in 15 years. What made you decide to start playing football? I don’t know really, my mom just signed me up for football when I was about 4 years old, and I

2024 season ending interview with Lorenzo Fitzgerald Stow-Munroe Falls High School

Image
Lorenzo Fitzgerald Stow-Munroe Falls High School 2026 DE Jersey Number 9 What was the high point of the 2024 season?  The high point of the season was gaining valuable experience and insight into what I need to work on to become a better player and a more reliable teammate next season. What was the low point of the 2024 season? The low point of the season was our inability to capitalize in the second half. We’d be right in the game at halftime, but often came out flat and couldn’t execute when it mattered. Who was the best team that the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs faced during the season? The best team Stow faced, in my opinion, was Wadsworth. We had a really good first quarter, then everything went downhill from there. Who was the best player that you faced last season, along with the team he played for?  The best player I faced last season was Jake Clapper from Hudson; he was really good with his hands, had good footwork, and was aggressive. The season did not go the way

2024 Post-season interview with JV/Varsity QB Ben Stepp from Canal Fulton Northwest High School

Image
Name: Ben Stepp  School: Northwest High School  Positions played: QB  Class: 2026 When we last spoke, you were in the process of transferring from Green High School to Mogadore. That did not come to be. Could you tell everyone what happened and then how you came to be at your new school? Last year, I was in a transferring process from leaving Green High School into a new environment where I was given a better chance to develop and become a better athlete. There were multiple schools that seemed like a fit, such as Mogadore, but Northwest High School stuck out to me through education and the best opportunity for me to play at the best of my abilities through the community and the coaches I've grown to know.  What was it like transferring to a new school and playing football with them? At first, transferring to a new school was difficult to really fit into a different way of practice, conditioning, and playing and really a completely different lifestyle in the football world

2024 Post season interview with Cameron Bulkowski from Rocky River

Image
Cameron Bulkowski   Rocky River   WR/KR/DB   5'10" - 160lbs   2025   Entering the 2024 season, what goals had you set for yourself? Going into the season, I set myself a lot of goals both offensively and defensively, but a main goal I set for offense was to average 100+ yards a game, and defensively, I set a goal to limit the receptions I allowed on me. What goals had you set for your team? The team's biggest goal was to win the conference, which unfortunately didn’t happen, but we also set the goal to win a playoff game, which we did. Who was the best player that you faced this season, along with the team he played for? We played a ton of good players and teams this year, but I'd have to say that Buckeyes running back Troy McCann was definitely one of the hardest players we had to deal with all season, especially with the line he had as well; he was a very hard player to stop. Who was the best team that Rocky River faced this season, along with what

Osceola Grace 48 Landmark Landmark Christian 46

*Using the rosters from Maxpreps and Hudl* The championship game in the Great Lakes Christian Athletic Conference was as exciting as any game that I have taken this year; that includes all of the high school games and the two Simi-Pro games, which brings my game total to 78 games. Osceola Grace Eagles and the Landmark Christian Eagles left it all on the field, leaving the good size and vocal crown who took this game in at Indiana Wesleyan University satisfied. Osceola Grace got things started with their defense with Gabe Spencer stuffing Noah Byrant for a loss of two. As the game would move along, the defense from both teams would look nonexistent at times, but the run defense from Osceola would be the one constant as it basically shut down two talented Landmark running backs. Early on, though, the defenses would take turns coming up big. Ace Meckley (5-9, 270) slamed Ian Shay down for a short loss. Meckley has more speed than you would think, and he hits like you stole his lunch m

Noblesville Lions 24 C4 Lions 00

Marion Ind- On Saturday after noon, the Great Lakes Christian Athletic Conference held their league tournament at Indiana Western University at Widcat Stadium. The game to see who would take fifth place pitted the C4-Lions from Ohio against the Noblesville Lions from Indiana. Both teams have close to thirty players on their rosters, but neither dressed more than 20 yesterday. Things got started when Caleb Taylor ran for a 24-yard run to move the chains for Noblesville. Taylor then caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Lance Hoffeditz to end the 6-play, 66-yard drive to make this a 6-0 game with 7:48 left in the first quarter. The Noblesville offense was at it again with a 16-yard run from Sully Stadler with 4:48 left in the quarter. What looked like another completion for Hoffeditz turned into a fumble recovery by Asa Bailey when the receiver coughed the ball up at the 3:56 mark of the quarter. Kejour Reed would run for 17 yards, then connect with Stephen Wright for an 18-yard catc

41 yard field goal gives Dover A 37-35 win over Tri-Valley

Image
*Using rosters from max preps and Hudl* Dresden, Ohio- On Friday night I made my first ever trip to Dresden, Ohio, to watch Tri-Valley host Dover in a Division 3 Region 12 playoff game. This would also be my first time seeing Dover play. Turnover and drop passes would be two key ingredients in the way this game would play out for the home team, who jumped out to a 21-0 lead. Getting things going for Tri-Valley with a 40-yard diving catch was Kam Karns. From there another 40-yard pass, this one for a touchdown to Ryan Lamonica, followed by the P.A.T. from #8 (Not on either roster) would make this a 7-0 game, with 10:50 left on the clock. Max Lyall would hit Lamonica for a gain of 26 yards with 9:09 left on the clock. The 6-play, 64-yard drive ended on a 6-yard touchdown run from Isaiah Doyle, making this a 14-0 game with 8:10 showing on the clock. The Scotties were back at it again at the 4:30 mark when Lamonica made a catch for 39 yards. Facing a fourth and one, Lyall plowed ahea

2024 In-season interview with Leland Davis from Cincinnati Landmark Christian

Image
Leland Davis  Home-schooled offensive guard, defensive tackle, center  Class of 2026 Can you share with everyone how you came to be part of the Landmark Christian Football Program? One of my good friends (Nigel Wright) from last year's team. I went to public school with him; he brought the program to my attention, and at the time I didn't play much at Western Hills and felt overlooked and doubted by a lot of people, so I made the move!!! What makes play for Landmark Christians and Coach Goodpastor so special? The brotherhood, the hearts of players on the team, the bonds that I've made with people I never thought I would coach. Goodpaster is the best coach I've had by far. He's not only a coach, but I look at him as a family member. He's there to listen and help in any situation. He can't explain how much he's helped and done for me in the 2 years I've been here.  What were your goals entering the 2024 season? My goals for this season were to
