Please post something from last season, like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice. Anything that sticks out to you.
I had 2 sacks, 4 tackles, and 3 pancakes against Palisades despite losing a tough game to a good Palisades team.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Catasauqua football team?
It was honestly a very surreal feeling hugging my teammates and breaking it out one last time as a team, and then taking that jersey off in the locker room. It stung a lot, and I’ve been itching to get back on the field ever since I took off that jersey for the final time.
What mark do you believe your class left on the football team?
We had great leadership, and I think overall we inspired the underclass men to work hard no matter what and to stay positive no matter what through the highs and lows and ups and downs not only off the field but also on the field.
What was your biggest moment as a high school football player?
The Catasauqua vs. Northampton Turkey Day Game tradition is a part of that—doing all the festivities and giving a speech to the town and then school throughout the week, and then the game itself, performing well as a captain and a starter in front of the entire towns of Catasauqua and Northampton.
Which win meant the most?
Getting that Homecoming and Senior Night win 26-7 over a good Palmerton team and playing well personally and overall as a team.
Which loss stung the most?
The Saucon Valley loss definitely stung the most—a division rival we almost beat with a backup quarterback but came up short against a good Saucon team.
How would you describe your style of play?
Always gonna play hard, tough, and gritty no matter who we’re playing or when we’re playing, and I’m always going to give you everything I’ve got.
What do you feel you are going to miss the most from playing high school football?
Definitely that small-town vibe and playing for my dad and playing with my best friends.
Which part of your game do you believe is the strongest?
My football IQ: I grew up around the game, and I know the ins and outs of the game, and it helps out a lot, especially playing at the center position.
Do you feel that the transfer portal in college is making it harder for high school guys to get recruited? Explain
I think it definitely has a little bit of an impact because a team could be heavily recruiting you based on a position of need, and then bam, a guy of that same position transfers in out of nowhere, and then the recruit gets left behind.
If you are invited to play in any of the statewide all-star games, will you? Explain
Yes, for sure, any extra opportunities to play high school football or football in general, I will be taking advantage of those opportunities.
Why should a college coach recruit you?
Because I will be a leader no matter what and give you 110% effort all day every day, and I will always be coachable and willing to learn and work on my craft as a player and leader every day.
Can you share with the readers how the recruiting process has gone, along with any schools that you have heard from?
The recruiting process has gone very well. I have 8 offers so far, and I am beyond blessed and truly honored that the process has gone so well. The schools I’ve heard from so far are Moravian, McDaniel, Ursinus, Lebanon Valley, Delaware Valley, Misericordia, Wilkes, Kings, and Muhlenberg.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
Play video games, golf, fish, and hang out with my friends.
What is a sport you wish you could play but do not have the skill set to?
Golf, although I do play, I am not very good. I will continue to try and get better and work on my short game.
What is a style or fad that your generation has that you do not get?
Mullets: I do not get why people decided to bring back mullets. Some people have good ones, but most do not and should just stick to their original haircut.
