Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.

Some of my favorite moments from last season were beating Paint Valley, and the bus rides home after wins were always fun because everyone was always pretty happy.

What are you going to miss from the 2025 class?

I’m going to miss my friends and the competition they gave me in practice.

Piketon went 7-4 last year, including a first-round playoff loss. What will the 2025 team have to do to better improve on the 2024 season?

We will need to work on feeding off the momentum we get. If that may be the defense getting a goal line stand, the offense needs to feed off that and make something happen.

The last time we spoke, you had said that you were working on hand technique. How is that going?

It’s going well. I’ve improved a lot from my freshman year.

What is the best part of playing on the line?

Definitely pulling on people and getting pancakes.

What is the toughest part of being a lineman?

I think the toughest part is the discipline you need to maintain, if that may be not leaning for a block or not jumping off sides.

Would you rather beat your rival and miss the playoffs or lose to your rival and make the playoffs?

Lose to our rivals and make playoffs.

What is your favorite weather to play in?

A day that’s hot but not too humid.

Do you have any game day superstitions? If so, what are they?

I used to have this superstition where I had to wear the same shoes each week on game days.

Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?

Evan Shoemaker always gave me a challenge.

What is the worst part of two-a-days?

The heat

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

The whole D-line from Columbus Academy was very disciplined.

What song pumps you up the most before the game?

Mascara by Deftones

Have you ever gone to Cedar Point or Kings Island?

I’ve been to Kings Island.

Athens Bulldogs use balanced attack to down Wellston Golden Rockets 41-0

  *Using the rosters from both Hudl and Max Preps* The Plains, OH Last night I made the hour-long drive to Athens High School to watch the Bulldogs host the Golden Rockets of Wellston. Entering the game, the Bulldogs came in 7-0 and ranked number 10 in division three. Wellston, much improved from last season, entered 5-2. In the game last year, Athens won 47-28. Wellston started out doing exactly what they needed to do to have a shot at winning the game. They came out and ate most of the first quarter with a drive that had last for 15 plays going for 69 yards. Things would start going wrong for them on the sixteenth play of the drive. They faced fourth and four from the Bulldogs five, and they elected to go for it, where the pass and the second attempt of the drive fell incomplete, forcing a turnover on downs. On the drive facing a third and one, Seth Lambert picked up twelve. Later on the drive facing third and fifth, Johhny Scott picked up 10-yards after he could not find anyon...
