One of my favorite memories was in the locker room after beating Wheelersburg. 


Who or what got you started playing football?

My papa introduced me to football. 


What keeps you playing the game?

My dad and mom are also wanting to make my hometown proud. 


What has been your biggest moment as an athlete, any sport, at any age?

Getting my first ever start as a freshman against Washington Courthouse


What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

My freshman year, going up against one of the best defensive tackles on the team, he used a push-pull move against me, and I fell right in front of all the coaches. 


What is the best part of being a lineman?

Having a long touchdown run being run right behind you. 


What is the toughest part of being a lineman?

It’s easy to make mistakes. 


Which game are you looking forward to the most this season? Explain

Miami Trace because the past couple of years have been good games, and it’s starting to turn into a rivalry.


What is the toughest part of two-a-days?

The heat


What makes you a good teammate?

My supportiveness


What are your personal goals this season?

All FAC, FAC title, and district championship 


What will have to happen this season for Jackson to get over the hump and have a very deep playoff run?

We need some younger guys to step up and fill some important roles. 


Can the band and cheerleaders really get you fired up as a player?

Yes, as the band is playing as we run out of the tunnel always gets me fired up. 


What scares you?

Snakes


What state do you want to visit the most for the first time?

Iowa


What is the one sport that you cannot watch?

NBA

I’m going to miss the amount of leadership the 2025 class had, but luckily the 2026 class has many leaders as well. What were your personal goals for the 2024 season? My personal goals this season were to stay relaxed at all times and make smart decisions while under pressure. And have a successful season. Were you able to attain the goals you set? Athens Bulldogs use balanced attack to down Wellston Golden Rockets 41-0

  *Using the rosters from both Hudl and Max Preps* The Plains, OH Last night I made the hour-long drive to Athens High School to watch the Bulldogs host the Golden Rockets of Wellston. Entering the game, the Bulldogs came in 7-0 and ranked number 10 in division three. Wellston, much improved from last season, entered 5-2. In the game last year, Athens won 47-28. Wellston started out doing exactly what they needed to do to have a shot at winning the game. They came out and ate most of the first quarter with a drive that had last for 15 plays going for 69 yards. Things would start going wrong for them on the sixteenth play of the drive. They faced fourth and four from the Bulldogs five, and they elected to go for it, where the pass and the second attempt of the drive fell incomplete, forcing a turnover on downs. On the drive facing a third and one, Seth Lambert picked up twelve. Later on the drive facing third and fifth, Johhny Scott picked up 10-yards after he could not find anyon...
